With colors filling the streets and the Bicol University Guinobatan community coming together, the 4th Annual Agri-Festival officially commenced through its Opening Parade, setting the stage for a celebration of agriculture, innovation, and sustainable development.

Joining the procession was the Bicol University Guinobatan College Student Council (BUG CSC), standing alongside the University community in celebrating this year’s theme: "𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗩𝗘𝗦𝗧: 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶-𝗔𝗾𝘂𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲-𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆.”

As the celebration continued into the afternoon, at exactly 1:00pm, the spotlight turned to the Sashing Ceremony of the 10 Official Candidates of Lakan at Lakambini ng Agrikultura 2026, representing the five departments of Bicol University Guinobatan. With the ceremonial placing of their sashes, each candidate formally carried the distinction of their respective department as they began their journey in this year’s search.

From the streets of the opening parade to the stage of Lakan at Lakambini, the day marked the beginning of another celebration of agriculture, excellence, and leadership at Bicol University Guinobatan.
