UPDATE | CLEAN UP DRIVE 🍃

On August 7, 2026, the Tourism Student Society (TSS) successfully organized and executed a campus clean-up drive. Student volunteers actively participated in cleaning both the exterior premises of the College of Hospitality Management building and the interior classroom spaces.

The primary objective of this activity was to maintain a clean and safe learning environment, helping prevent illness and spread of dengue cases. Beyond fostering a healthier space for learning, this initiative highlighted the dedication, camaraderie, and environmental stewardship of Tourism Management students.

May this initiative inspire others to take time to clean their surroundings, staying healthy and safe against preventable illnesses!

UPDATE | ROOM-TO-ROOM ORIENTATION📖

​On August 3, 2026, the Tourism Student Society (TSS) held a room-to-room orientation to introduce Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students to the organization's Constitution and By-Laws (CBL).

​The CBL covers essential guidelines, including the TSS’s purpose, membership policies, officer and member responsibilities, fines and penalties, and election procedures.

The orientation also served as an opportunity for students to voice their concerns and allowed officers to clarify key questions, fostering transparency, professionalism, and effective communication within the organization.

Reinforcing Good Governance: Tourism Student Society Attends Leadership Seminar

To reinforce the principles of good governance and effective leadership, the Tourism Student Society participated in a leadership seminar themed, "Serving with Purpose: Empowering Student Leaders for Transformative and Visionary Leadership." The event took place at Teatro Makandog at 09:00 AM on April 1, 2026.

Sir Ceasar Tristan G. Gayton, Dean of Alumni and Student Affairs, discussed the critical nature of financial management within student organizations. He emphasized that proper handling of funds is essential for delivering quality projects, noting that transparency is the foundation of the trust members place in their leaders.

Following this, current SSC President Shiloh Isha Duran, alongside former SSC President Gene Daniel Acosta, shared insights on the essence of true leadership. They stressed that leadership begins with the self. One cannot lead others without first mastering self-leadership. They concluded that leadership is a conscious choice, requiring a balance of hindsight, insight, and foresight to make informed and impactful decisions.

Attending this seminar has significantly sharpened our perspectives on leadership. It has equipped us to uphold the standards of good governance and inspired us to push beyond our limits in service to the student body.

LOOK: TSS TURNOVER CEREMONY ✨

On February 27, 2026, the Tourism Student Society successfully conducted its Turnover Ceremony for the outgoing and incoming officers.

The ceremony formally acknowledged and celebrated the dedication, hard work, and invaluable contributions of the former TSS OFFICERS, marking a meaningful milestone and the continued growth of the organization. More than just a formal event, it highlighted leadership, camaraderie, unity, and genuine love for our fellow Tourism students.
