IN PHOTOS: 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)

The Field and Operation Rescue Team of ESSU-GUIUAN & the University Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (UDRMO) conducted the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill last November 11, 2022, pursuant to the directives of the Civil Defense and NDRRMC.
It was simultaneously done across the different colleges wherein students and faculty performed the basic drills; duck, cover and hold.
Various scenarios were made at the CAS building, where it was actively participated by selected BACOMM and BSCRIM students.
The main objective of the said drill is to increase the knowledge of all individuals about disaster preparedness and mitigation.

The Field and Operation Rescue Team (F.O.R.T) is an accredited student organization of ESSU-Guiuan campus composed of students from various colleges.
The Club aims to build a responsive and resilient team who are proactive in promoting the safety and security of every individuals with the great care of the natural environment.

The said organization is looking for NEW members who are ready to take part in its vision and mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be a bonafide student of ESSU-Guiuan
• Applicants must have a sense of responsibility, emphaty, risk-taking, and altruistic moral reasoning

LOOK: Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2022

The Field and Operation Rescue Team of ESSU-Guiuan in collaboration with the University Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (UDRRMO) facilitated the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) to the students, faculty and staff of ESSU-Guiuan. A loud siren was played around the campus that served as the signal to start the drill. They have actively participated the basic drills; duck, cover and hold simultaneously in a given span of time.
The main objectives of the activity was centered on disaster preparedness, awareness and mitigation.
