UAโHamtic Campus is the only agricultural school in the entire Province of Antique, a province whose economy and way of life are deeply rooted in agriculture and fisheries. With fertile lands, diverse crops such as rice, corn, sugarcane, coconut, root crops, and fruits, as well as thriving aquaculture in coastal areas, Antique offers a strong foundation for agribusiness development.
Agribusiness plays a vital role in the province by linking farm production with processing, marketing, and distribution, supporting smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and local enterprises, and contributing to employment and rural development. As agricultural systems and markets continue to evolve, there is a growing need for professionals who understand both agriculture and business.
The BS Agribusiness Program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to manage, improve, and sustain agricultural enterprises, while contributing to food security, rural development, and inclusive economic growth in Antique and beyond-aligned with national and regional development goals.
