On this Solemnity, we contemplate Mary's entrance into the fullness of eternal life.

Having been preserved from original sin, she was assumed into heaven to be with Christ, the source of all holiness.
Her Assumption reveals God's plan for humanity: that we too are destined for glory with Him. Mary, assumed into heaven, intercedes for the Church and leads us to her Son.

Let us entrust our lives to her maternal care and imitate her obedience, humility, and love.

Saint Maximilian Mary Kolbe was a Franciscan Conventual priest who offered his life in charity at Auschwitz.

In 1941, he voluntarily took the place of a condemned father in a starvation bunker, embodying Christ's words: "No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for his friends." - John 15:13

As founder of the Militia Immaculatae, he devoted his apostolate to spreading devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through evangelization and modern media.

Declared a martyr of charity by the Church, Saint Maximilian remains a model of self-sacrifice, courage, and unwavering faith in the Immaculate. May his witness inspire us to love God above all things and our neighbor as ourselves.
