BREAKING NEWS | Southern Leyte State University – Hinunangan proudly celebrates the success of its 14 newly Registered Agriculturists, posting an impressive 77.79% institutional passing rate in the November 2025 Licensure Examination for Agriculturists.

Among first-time takers, SLSU–Hinunangan recorded an outstanding 86.67% passing rate, showcasing the strong preparation, dedication, and excellence of our Agriculture program.

Congratulations to our new Registered Agriculturists and to the Department of Agricultural Science and Technology for this remarkable achievement!

LONG WEEKEND ALERT | In observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, and with October 31 declared as a Special Non-Working Day in all government offices, Southern Leyte State University joins the nation in honoring and remembering the lives of those who have gone before us.

𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | Southern Leyte State University announces that October 20, 2025 (Monday), is declared as an Academic Health Break, pursuant to OUP Memorandum No. 212, s. 2025, and in accordance with the BOR-approved Student Manual.

Faculty members may work from home (WFH) on the said date upon submission of their WFH Plan to their respective supervisors.

Those involved in the University Games are exempted from the health break and WFH arrangement.

Mighty Kingfishers, take this moment to pause and care for your well-being, because a sound mind and body keep every Kingfisher soaring strong.

Tropical Depression Kristine has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is expected to intensify into a typhoon, according to PAGASA. The storm is moving west-northwest and could bring heavy rains and strong winds to nearby regions. It is also likely to enhance the southwest monsoon, causing increased rainfall over parts of Luzon and Visayas. PAGASA urges residents to stay prepared for possible adverse weather conditions.
