𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 | Zambales Day

"Those who have less in life have more in law."

President Ramon "Monching" Magsaysay — a simple yet influential man was born in the Province of Zambales, for a calling to serve the marginalized people. Compassionately at his best, he stepped down literally to visit barrios and even allowed ordinary Filipino people to visit Malacañang Palace. He used his presidency not to lift his own name but he used it to touch every heart and hear every demand of the masses.

At present, as we commemorate his birth in every 31st of August, Monching's legacy will not fade black as he is a testament of what leadership is — by combating social injustice in the country.

Pres. Ramon Magsaysay's birth anniversary was declared as a special non-working holiday in the province of Zambales which was enacted through the R.A. 7792 in 1994.

𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗔 | KGP, nagkamit ng mga parangal sa 4th YJPFC

Muling ipinamalas ang husay at galing ng Kandili Group of Publications (KGP) matapos mag-uwi ng iba’t ibang parangal sa katatapos lamang na 4th Young Journalist Press Freedom Competition (YJPFC) na ginanap ngayong araw sa Tarlac State University–Lucinda Campus.

Dinaluhan ng tatlumpu't pitong unibersidad mula sa Rehiyon III ang prestihiyosong kompetisyon na naglalayong paunlarin ang talento at kasanayan ng mga kabataan sa larangan ng pamamahayag.

Nakamit ng KGP ang 7th place overall sa A-List Best in E-Magazine sa pamamagitan ang mga sumusunod na karangalan:

A-List E-Magazine Best in Cover Page-1st place
A-List E-Magazine Best News Story-4th place
A-List E-Magazine Best in Literary-8th place
A-List E-Magazine Best in Sports Writing-7th place

Sa kategoryang A-List Best in Social Media Page Posting naman, nasungkit ng grupo ang 4th place sa A-List Social Media Best in News Photo at 5th place naman sa A-List Social Media Best in Literary. Samantala, sa larangan ng TV Broadcasting ay pumwesto naman sila sa 6th place para sa Best in Script Writing.

Muling pinatunayan ng KGP ang kanilang dedikasyon at talento sa larangan ng campus journalism, bagay na nagbigay ng karangalan hindi lamang sa Kandili Group of Publications kundi pati na rin sa PRMSU Santa Cruz.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | On the second day of the week-long 8th Year-End Commencement Exercises, Regional Director Rosalie C. Abesamis of Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region III addressed the graduates from the College of Business, Accountancy and Public Administration (CBAPA), College of Nursing (CON), and College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF).

She described graduation not merely as a ceremonial end but as a turning point, a transition into a world that urgently needs their skills, values, and vision.

Congratulations to the President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) for ranking 270 in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Ranking!

PRMSU ranked 270 as part of the Global Top 400 Innovative Universities in the world which was announced during the 5th Annual Conference of the Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) held at Luce Auditorium, Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines & via Zoom today, July 10, 2025.

Kyung Sung Kim, President of i-STAT, announced the results of the WURI 2025 during the second day of the three-day HLU annual conference.

The university ranked 6th in Entrepreneurial Spirit category; ranked 7th in Infrastructure/ Technology category; and ranked 9th in Crisis Management category in the Global Top 100 Innovative Universities.

This is the second consecutive year that PRMSU joined the WURI ranking.

PRMSU was recognized in 3 categories: Rank 6 in Entrepreneurial Spirit category with its project titled “AETA-preneurship: Empowering Indigenous People (IP) Mothers through Sustainable Livelihood in Salted Egg Production;” Rank 7 in Infrastructure/ Technology category with its project titled “Innovating Renewable Energy Technologies for Education, Research, and Community Development;” and Rank 9 in Crisis Management category with its project titled “A Safer, Resilient and Crisis-Ready State University: The PRMSU Way.”

“I am very grateful that for our second-year participation in the WURI, we were able to be part of the Top 10 of the three out of 16 categories. This shows our institution's continuous efforts to promote social responsibility for the indigenous communities, advocate for renewable energy technologies, and build resilient and crisis-ready university,” University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos said.

WURI is a global ranking of universities with 16 categories for evaluation for 2025: A1. Student Support and Engagement; A2. Student Mobility and Openness; A3. Industrial Application; A4. Entrepreneurial Spirit; A5. Crisis Management; A6. Ethics and Integrity; A7. Technology Development and Application; A8. SDG-Based Responses to Global Challenges; B1. Visionary Leadership; B2. Empowerment-Based Management; B3. ESG Trend; B4. Culture/Values; B5. Funding for Sustainability; B6. Infrastructure/Technology; B7. Cost-Effectiveness Management; and B8. University Brand and Reputation.

A total of 1,253 universities participated in the 16 evaluation categories mentioned above, resulting in 4,866 evaluated cases. Institutions from 87 countries, including North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, submitted their entries.

The WURI ranking values not only the traditional academic performance of universities, but also innovative and practical performance that meets industrial and social needs.

We’re proud to present Dr. Ramkishan B. Bhise, Assistant Professor at SIES Graduate School of Technology and National Joint Secretary of ELTAI, as our Keynote Speaker at the 3rd International Research Conference on Media and Community Development happening on September 26, 2025, at National University Clark, Angeles City.

His keynote talk, “Digital Journalism and Campus Media: Challenges and Opportunities in the AI Era,” will explore the evolving media landscape and the role of campus journalists in the digital age.
