𝐈𝐒𝐔–𝐈𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐑𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐨𝐧-𝐂𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲

ISU–Ilagan City Campus formally inaugurated several newly established and improved campus facilities through a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking another milestone in the University’s continuing efforts to provide a more conducive, accessible, and student-centered learning environment.

The ceremony featured the official opening of the Covered Walk, Supreme Student Council (SSC) Office, NSTP/ROTC Office, and Pickleball Court, facilities designed to support the academic, organizational, physical, and co-curricular needs of the ISU–Ilagan community.

The activity was graced by Cluster Executive Officer Dr. Alfonso R. Simon, PhD, who conveyed a message emphasizing the importance of the newly inaugurated facilities in advancing campus development and improving the overall student experience.

In his message, Dr. Simon underscored that the facilities are intended for the betterment of the campus and its students, reflecting the University’s commitment to creating spaces that promote student engagement, convenience, wellness, and meaningful participation in campus life.

Also highlighting the ceremony was the opening remarks of the Supreme Student Council President, who expressed appreciation for the establishment of facilities that directly respond to the needs of students. The SSC leadership likewise recognized the significance of having a dedicated student space that can serve as a venue for coordination, leadership activities, student consultations, and various initiatives of the student body.

The Covered Walk provides students and personnel with a safer and more convenient passageway within the campus, particularly during inclement weather. Meanwhile, the newly inaugurated SSC Office provides the student leadership with a dedicated space for organizational operations and student services.

The NSTP/ROTC Office further strengthens the University’s support for programs that promote civic consciousness, discipline, leadership, and community involvement among students. Complementing these developments is the Pickleball Court, which provides an additional recreational and physical activity space that encourages students to engage in sports and maintain an active lifestyle.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony symbolizes more than the opening of physical structures. It represents the University’s continuing investment in facilities that contribute to a more dynamic, inclusive, and student-centered campus environment.

With these facilities now open for use, ISU–Ilagan continues to strengthen its commitment to providing spaces where students can learn, lead, connect, participate, and thrive.

ISU–Ilagan Honors Educators in Teacher’s Day Celebration
ILAGAN CITY, ISABELA — October 6, 2026.

The Isabela State University–City of Ilagan Campus celebrated Teacher’s Day on October 6 with a series of activities honoring the dedication, commitment, and invaluable contributions of its faculty members.

The celebration, initiated by the Supreme Student Council (SSC), gathered students and faculty members at the ISU Gymnasium for a festive tribute to educators who continue to inspire, guide, and empower students in their academic and personal journeys.

The program featured various activities prepared by the student body as expressions of appreciation for the teachers. Beyond recognizing their role as classroom instructors, the celebration highlighted educators as mentors, role models, and partners in shaping students into competent and responsible members of society.

The celebration also provided an avenue for students to express their gratitude to their teachers for their patience, guidance, and unwavering commitment to student development. The gestures of appreciation underscored the meaningful relationship between educators and the students they serve.

Meanwhile, the Faculty Association of ISU–Ilagan, initiated a fellowship lunch for all faculty members at the CEAT New AVR, providing an opportunity for educators from different academic units to come together, celebrate their shared profession, and strengthen camaraderie within the university community.

The faculty gathering served not only as a celebration of Teacher’s Day but also as a reminder of the importance of collegiality, unity, and mutual support among educators. The simple fellowship provided faculty members with an opportunity to step away from their usual academic responsibilities and celebrate the people who share the same commitment to teaching and service.

The two-part celebration reflected the collective appreciation of the ISU–Ilagan community for its educators. While the morning activities highlighted the gratitude of students, the faculty luncheon emphasized the spirit of fellowship and solidarity among teachers.

More than an annual observance, Teacher’s Day at ISU–Ilagan became a celebration of the people behind the lessons, guidance, and inspiration that shape the university’s students. It reaffirmed the enduring role of educators in advancing academic excellence and contributing to the holistic development of the next generation.

As the celebration came to a close, the ISU–Ilagan community expressed its heartfelt appreciation to all faculty members for their dedication, passion, and continued service.

Cagayan Valley was represented in the national top rankings of the September 2026 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination by 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐈𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧.

𝐈𝐒𝐔-𝐈𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧 secured the 𝟏𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞, posting an impressive 69.41% passing rate. A total of 59 out of 85 examinees successfully passed the licensure exam. The result highlights the institution's role in advancing engineering competence in Northern Luzon.
