Making history on the international stage, our mechatronics team proudly marked the country's 🇵🇭 first ever participation at the 𝟒𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔) held last 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟑–𝟐𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔! Cape Town, South Africa — MSU-IIT has maintained its distinction as the only state university in Mindanao and the only Philippine university outside Luzon represented in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027, while recording improvements in Research Environment and Industry, key measures of a university’s ability to build a credible research ecosystem and translate knowledge into practical value.

It further affirms MSU-IIT’s position as Mindanao’s research-to-impact university, reflecting the institution’s continuing progress as a globally benchmarked public university advancing high-quality education, research, innovation, and public service from Mindanao.
