Do you feel that there is more to life than the narrow horizon offered by modern existence?

For many, the modern world has become strangely disenchanted. We possess greater comfort, information, and technical power than generations before us, yet the deeper questions remain. What is the purpose of human life? What is the proper measure of a man or woman? How may the soul be disciplined, illuminated, and brought into harmony with moral law?

The ancient world approached such questions through the Mysteries.

Within the temple, beneath the stars, through symbol, geometry, initiation, contemplation, and disciplined labor, generations sought to understand humanity’s place within the greater order of the cosmos. The square, the compasses, the column, the altar, the lamp, and the rough and perfected stone expressed a philosophy in which the building of the temple corresponded to the building of the human being.

Universal Co-Masonry carries this initiatic tradition into the present age.

Its work belongs to the ancient current of the Mysteries and to the Great Work pursued across the centuries: the cultivation of wisdom, strength of character, self-knowledge, fraternity, and conscious participation in the moral and spiritual order of existence.

The world of mystery has never disappeared. Its language remains written in symbol, proportion, ritual, discipline, and the architecture of the soul.

The question is whether we still possess the seriousness to approach it.
