With the current dangerously high heat index in the city, face-to-face classes in the Basic Education Department will remain suspended tomorrow, August 14, 2026. However, instruction will continue through asynchronous online activities.
Students are advised to remain at home, stay hydrated, and prioritize their safety.

In view of the continued high heat index and to ensure the safety and well-being of our learners and school personnel, the suspension of face-to-face classes in all levels, from Kinder to Grade 12, in both public and private schools, is 𝙀𝙓𝙏𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙀𝘿 until tomorrow, August 14, 2026. Alternative Delivery Mode shall be implemented.
Learners are advised to continue with their modular, online, or take-home activities. Teachers may work from home and shall coordinate with their respective School Heads for instructions and deliverables.
School Heads are directed to immediately disseminate this information to all learners, parents, and stakeholders.
Everyone is advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and take necessary precautions against heat-related illnesses.
