Ramadan is a good training ground for mastering your Nafs(Soul) on a deeper level for the rest of the year, and the rest of your life.
Do you know what is the hardest part of Ramadan?
Its not the long hours of fasting, or the attempts of memorizing Qur'an, or standing in Taraweeh prayer or staying up for qiyaam.í

Actually the hardest part is realizing that you are your biggest enemy. Acknowledging that your nafs(soul) is stronger than you think, accepting even though he is locked away, Shaitan has still left some influence all over you. It's a tough to know that you may slip in some temper, your impatience, or your laziness in ibadaah etc..,This is not because of him. This is because of your ownself..!
