As the Martial Law Anniversary on September 21 approaches, we remember the continuing struggle of the people against the environmentally destructive projects during the Marcos administration that are being revived by the Duterte administration.

The Chico River is once again threatened due to megadams and other projects under the 'Build Build Build' program. The river is referred to be the people of Cordillera as the 'river of life'.
