It is with profound regret that the Student Council announces that the Mindanao State University - College of Medicine was made unable to participate in this yearโs APMC National Convention.
Despite an exhaustive due process and several desperate measures, the MSU Office of the President has declined the issuance of a Travel Order, citing Memorandum Circular No. 114, which restricts official travel to only โessential and indispensable functions.โ While we acknowledge its relevance to the current geopolitical landscape, we emphasize that this travel constitutes justifiable and necessary engagement, with clear urgency and direct programmatic relevance to medical education and professional development.
This decision stripped ๐ญ๐ณ ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ป๐ of the chance to represent our institution and the entire Mindanao Region on a national stage. Furthermore, our Sultans have been denied the vital opportunity to sharpen their skills, share their insight, and foster connections that would have enriched our medical community.
