It shall serve as the nerve center in the use of elearning technology for the delivery of both in-campus and off-campus curricular courses.

Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology Center for eLearning (MICeL) aims to provide support in the development of interactive elearning courses and, instructional materials. It also hopes to provide online trainings on in-demand ICT courses needed to spur socio-economic development for Mindanao.

The Center for Pedagogical Innovations (CPI) successfully conducted the AI in Teaching and Learning Training/Workshop on August 20, 2026, as part of the Learning Innovation Summit, held on August 19-20, 2026.

The training/workshop was attended by faculty members and teachers from various schools across Mindanao. It aimed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively, ethically, and responsibly integrate AI into teaching and learning. The workshop also sought to deepen participants’ understanding of the opportunities and limitations of AI in education and to introduce practical strategies for its responsible integration into their courses and instructional practices.

The Department of Chemistry of the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) conducted the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) workshop today, June 4, 2026 at the MICeL building led by Dr. Rabby Q. Lavilles, director of the Center for Pedagogical Innovations (CPI).

The workshop aimed to evaluate course learning outcomes and identify areas for improvement to support continuous quality enhancement and ensure curriculum relevance. Through this initiative, CSM strengthens its commitment to academic excellence and outcomes-based education.

The Center for Pedagogical Innovations (CPI) successfully conducted the four-day Development of Micro-credential Ready Online (MICRO) Course Workshop, held on May 19-20, 2026, with continuation sessions scheduled on June 10-11, 2026.

The workshop brought together faculty members teaching peace and sustainability-related courses to equip them with practical strategies for designing modular, outcomes-based online learning experiences aligned with micro-credentials and stackable learning pathways. The sessions emphasized flexible course design and future-ready approaches to teaching and learning.

Special appreciation is extended to GIZ–SAUP (Southeast Asia Universities Partnership) for its valuable support in making this capacity-building initiative possible, and to all faculty participants for their commitment to advancing innovative teaching and learning practices.

Today, May 18, 2026, the Department of Biology of the College of Science and Mathematics (CSM) attended the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Workshop held at the CSM Faculty Lounge, led by Dr. Rabby Q. Lavilles, Director of the Center for Pedagogical Innovations (CPI).

The workshop focused on strengthening academic processes and enhancing instructional practices. Faculty members actively participated in discussions and activities aimed at identifying areas for improvement and developing actionable strategies to support continuous enhancement of teaching practices.

The CCS Curriculum Writeshop held on April 23-24, 2026 at MICeL building, brought together faculty members across all departments of the College of Computer Studies to collaboratively review and strengthen curriculum maps, align program and course learning outcomes, and work on continuous quality improvement (CQI) forms.

Through this workshop, CCS continues to ensure that its programs remain responsive, outcome-based, and aligned with CHED requirements.
