DOUBLE THE GLORY FOR TEAM WVSU!

West Visayas State University - Political Science Students reigns supreme as the back-to-back Champion of the 2025 Local Governance Quiz!

Represented by Nash Ian Moralde Gargantiel, Ken Andrei Naldoza Gomez and Kyla Mae Altamia Yapendon with the guidance of their coach, Atty. Jonald B. Dorado, Team WVSU once again showcased teamwork, brilliance and passion for local governance.

Held at SM iloilo City, Team WVSU proved once again that when it comes to governance knowledge, WVSU doesn’t just participate, it dominates.

Two years. Two trophies. One unbeatable team.

🎤 CONGRATULATIONS, TEAM WVSU!

Team WVSU proved to be the loudest and most convincing voice in the heated debate during the championship round of the "2025 Mic-On: Youth Discourse in Local Governance."

Represented by Vaness Langrio, Gelou Jane Bea Alilay, Shalene Margarete Joy Cachuela, Jonesa May Artilano, Ej Floyd Gatila, and Jan Michael Alayon with their coaches Prof. Voltaire B. Jacinto and Dr. Reymund Flores.

Arguments firmly defended, rebuttals neatly delivered and the surrebuttal surely wrapped it all!

Team WVSU is hailed as the 3-peat Mic On champion bagging the first ever Mic On trophy.

Moreover, a big congratulations to Vaness Langrio, who was awarded as the Best Speaker and Best Debater in the Semi-Finals Round.

Furthermore, Langrio and Gelou Jane Bea Alilay won the award for the Best Speaker and the Best Debater, respectively, during the Championship Round.

Indeed, when the mic is on, Team WVSU leads on.
