The College of Management (COM) Blazing Cheetahs, led by coach 𝘿𝙧. 𝙊𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖 𝙍𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙥𝙤 once again proved their dominance in the virtual arena after ruling both the Men’s and Women’s Divisions of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) E-Sports Tournament, one of the highlights of this year’s Campus Intramurals. In the men’s category, the Blazing Cheetahs delivered a flawless performance, sweeping the CHTM Flamingos (2–0) and the CICS Falcons (3–0) before defeating the CoEng Wolves (4–1) in the best-of-seven finals to capture the championship title. Their cohesive teamwork and smart playmaking secured COM’s strong standing in the e-sports competition.

Meanwhile, the COM Women’s Team mirrored their male counterparts’ success, marking a back-to-back championship victory in the tournament. They opened their campaign with a 2–0 win against the CHTM Flamingos, followed by a commanding 3–0 sweep over the CAS Phoenix. In a thrilling rematch against CAS Phoenix in the finals, the Blazing Cheetahs sealed their consecutive title with a 4–1 victory. With both teams emerging triumphant, the College of Management solidified its reputation as a powerhouse in this year’s intramural e-sports events.

These impressive victories were fueled by standout performances from key players.𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙥𝙝 𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙡 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙣 (Gold Lane), 𝙅𝙖𝙮 𝘼𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙮𝙤 (Mid Lane) 𝙉𝙖𝙣 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙨 𝘽𝙞𝙖𝙘𝙤 (Roamer), 𝙍𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙚𝙡 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙨 (Exp Lane), and 𝘼𝙡 𝘾𝙮𝙧𝙚𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨 (Jungler) formed a formidable team in the men’ s division, showcasing exceptional strategy and teamwork. Meanwhile, 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙤 (Jungler), 𝘼𝙞𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙉𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙧 (Roamer) 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝘿𝙚𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙤 (Mage), 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚 𝙂𝙪𝙡𝙢𝙖𝙮𝙤 (Marksman) and 𝙀𝙙𝙟𝙚𝙡𝙮𝙣 𝙀𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙛𝙖𝙣𝙤 (Exp Lane) led the women’ s team to victory, demonstrating skill and dedication that earned them their top honors.

Faculty members from the 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗖𝗢𝗠) together with selected 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗨) administrative staff joined today’s National Call for Solidarity Amid Calamities, a movement initiated by the 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀’ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗕𝗖𝗣) through Circular No. 25-14. The initiative seeks to promote compassion, unity, and collective support for communities affected by recent natural calamities.

During the observance, participants wore white ribbons, a simple yet powerful symbol of hope and solidarity. This gesture represented shared values that go beyond faith and belief—highlighting the essence of empathy, peace, and togetherness in times of hardship.

Among those who took part were 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗖. 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘇, Dean of the College of Management; 𝗟𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗣. 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝗣𝗔,, University Registrar; 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝘆. 𝗭𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝘆𝗻 𝗔. 𝗚𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗼, Director of the NISU Information Unit; and 𝗟𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗣. 𝗚𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗻,, Administrative Officer I of the NISU Records Office.

Moreover, the participation of both faculty and staff demonstrated the university community’s commitment to fostering unity and compassion. Through this act, they aimed to express not only moral support but also a call for collective responsibility in helping rebuild lives affected by disasters.

Overall, the National Call for Solidarity Amid Calamities served as a reminder that genuine compassion transcends institutional and religious boundaries. By standing together, members of NISU and its College of Management reaffirmed the enduring Filipino spirit of bayanihan—proving that even the smallest gestures can inspire hope and strengthen solidarity in times of need.

In a strong display of unity and compassion, the Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) Chair, students, faculty, and staff of Northern Iloilo State University have formally expressed their support and participation in the national call for solidarity and reflection amid the recent series of natural calamities affecting the country.

This initiative is rooted in the call of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) through Circular No. 25-14, which invites the Filipino people to unite in prayer, reflection, and acts of solidarity. In response, the Department of Public Administration affirms its commitment to upholding the values of compassion, service, and collective responsibility.

Furthermore, the resolution was officially passed by the Junior Public Administration Students Society (JPASS) and strongly supported by the BPA Chair, faculty, and staff. Specifically, the resolution underscores that the act of solidarity will be carried out with full respect for religious and cultural diversity. As a result, members of the BPA community will wear a white ribbon, symbolizing unity and hope, and representing shared values that transcend faith and belief.

In addition, the initiative received the full approval of BPA Chairperson Dr. Jomartin C. Limson and the unwavering support of the faculty and staff of BPA. Moreover, Prof. Odessa Rose Gasapo extended her support by sponsoring the materials needed to implement the activity.

Ultimately, through this collective effort, the BPA community demonstrates its steadfast dedication to fostering solidarity, resilience, and public service. As the nation continues to confront the impacts of natural calamities, this unified gesture stands as a powerful symbol of hope, bayanihan, and shared responsibility, reflecting the true spirit of public service.

𝙊𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧 1, 2025 | 𝙉𝙊𝙍𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙉 𝙄𝙇𝙊𝙄𝙇𝙊 𝙎𝙏𝘼𝙏𝙀 𝙐𝙉𝙄𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙎𝙄𝙏𝙔

Princess Gayle Pendilla, Mutya ng NISU 2023, showcased remarkable strength and composure as she concluded her two-year reign as the university’ s queen. Amidst the unexpected challenge of an earthquake during the MUTYA NG NISU 2025 coronation night, Pendilla remained steady and graciously passed on the crown, marking the end of her illustrious tenure.

As she bid farewell, Pendilla wanted to express heartfelt gratitude to key university officials, including University President Dr. Bobby G. Gerardo, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Gilda E. Diguma, and Dean of the College of Management Dr. Maria Kristina Ortiz. Furthermore, she also wanted to extend her appreciation to the faculty and staff of NISU Main Campus, students, and guests who witnessed the conclusion of her reign.

Moreover, Pendilla wanted to acknowledge the individuals who played a significant role in her Mutya ng NISU journey. She wanted to thank Sir Jason Agupitan and Sir Ednel Bolivar for encouraging her to join the pageant, Sir Ronnie Salazar for his expert guidance as her backstage coach, Hermy Villa for mentoring her walk.

In addition, Pendilla thanked her BPA professors and classmates for their support, noting that they made her journey feel like a shared victory and that their cheers, support, and constant belief in her made every challenge lighter. She specifically thanked Doc. Jomartin C. Limson, Doc. Michelle B. Baco, Doc. Odessa A. Gasapo, and Prof. Donato Sese Jr.

Pendilla also expressed her deepest gratitude to her family. She thanked her parents for standing by her side, lending a listening ear during hardships, and wiping away her tears. She credited their love as her calm in every storm and courage in every battle. She also thanked her second parents, Tita Sol and Tito Masayushi, for their unwavering presence and love despite the distance.

She also wanted to say, “A true queen is not perfect. She is consistent. She is courageous. She keeps moving forward even when no one is watching.” With her reign coming to a close, Pendilla leaves behind a legacy of poise, resilience, and determination, inspiring future generations of students at Northern Iloilo State University.

Mula ika-5 ng Setyembre hanggang ika-5 ng Oktubre, ipinagdiriwang natin ang Araw ng mga G**o at Araw ng Pagsasalamat sa ating mga g**o na nagiging ilaw at gabay ng mga kabataan. Sa bawat araw ng pagtuturo, kasama ang sakripisyo at puyat, sila’y nagtitiyaga upang magturo at magbigay-alam. Sila rin ang nagbibigay-inspirasyon, disiplina, kabutihang asal, respeto, at pag-asa sa mga mag-aaral. Higit sa lahat, nagmamahal sila sa mga kabataan, nagbibigay ng halakhak at galak sa tuwing sila’y nagtuturo.

Iniaalay nila ang kanilang oras para mas marami pang matutunan ang mga kabataan. Sa araw na ito, maraming programa ang inihahandog sa lahat ng g**o, tulad ng mga sayaw, awit, at mga munting regalo. Gumagawa ng mga sulat at liham mula sa taos-pusong pasasalamat, bulaklak, simpleng pagbati, at munting pagsasalo-salo—ito’y paraan ng mga kabataan upang ipakita ang kanilang pasasalamat sa kanilang mga minamahal na g**o.

Isang simpleng salita, “Maraming salamat po, G**o,” ay nagdudulot ng tuwa sa kanilang mga mata at galak sa puso. Ito’y simpleng paraan upang makabawi sa lahat ng kanilang pagod. Sa ating pagbati na “Mahal Naming G**o,” napapahiwatig natin na sila’y ating ipinagmamalaki sa buong mundo.
