“Cleanliness reflects the discipline of every cadet.”

April 25, 2026 – The 872nd NROTC Unit of NISU Concepcion Campus successfully conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Drive, led by Corps Commander Roniel Zamora and GMA Officer SN2 Joey B. Desamero PN(Res), with the support of NSTP Coordinator Asst. Prof. Richard D. Jardenil. This activity forms part of the unit’s continuing commitment to community service and environmental stewardship.

The cadets demonstrated unity and discipline in collecting and properly disposing of waste along the shoreline, contributing to the preservation of the area’s natural beauty and environmental health. The activity highlighted their cooperation, sense of responsibility, and dedication to protecting the environment for future generations.

On 24 April 2026 at 0700H, the 872nd NROTC Unit from NISU Concepcion Campus, led by CPO Dodie P De La Cruz PN(RES) as Assistant Training Staff, together with GMA Officers SN2 Joey B Desamero PN(RES) and GMA A***n B Sicad PN(RES), along with 6 Senior Officers, rendered a parade and entrance of colors during the opening of the Tampisaw Festival 2026 held at Brgy. Poblacion, Concepcion, Iloilo.

“From Morning Colours to clean-up drives, drills, and examinations, every activity shapes cadets into disciplined, responsible, and capable leaders.”

April 18, 2026 – The 872nd NROTC Concepcion Campus successfully conducted its Saturday Instruction. The day commenced with the formal conduct of Morning Colours, ensuring that all cadets upheld the unit’s highest standards of discipline and bearing.

Following this, SN2 Joey B Desamero PN(res) issued instructions for the MS2 to conduct a clean-up drive of the oval grounds, which they carried out promptly and with discipline and cooperation.

Subsequently, the unit formally conducted the Arrival of Honors and Pasamasid. The Arrival of Honors was executed in accordance with proper military protocol, reflecting discipline, respect, and adherence to established standards. This was followed by the Pasamasid, during which cadets engaged in guided observation to further enhance their understanding of drills, coordination, and leadership.

The MS2 also took their final examination under the supervision of Assistant Training Staff CPO Dodie P. Dela Cruz. The assessment evaluated their acquired knowledge and competencies while reinforcing discipline, integrity, and professionalism.

📢HEADS UP: APRIL 11, 2026

Senior Training Staff Sherwin De Leon visited the 872nd NROTCU Concepcion Campus during their instruction period, bringing guidance and motivation to the cadets. Together with NSTP Coordinator Asst. Prof. Richard Jardenil, a meeting was held with cadets, officers, and senior members to strengthen leadership, discipline, and unity within the corps.

After the meeting, a drill training for the officers was conducted, focusing on precision, coordination, and command presence. The activity highlighted the unit’s commitment to developing disciplined and capable future leaders.

March 21, 2026 — The 872nd NROTCU Concepcion Campus once again proved that true leadership is built through commitment, discipline, and action.

The day began with a focused review session 📖, preparing every cadet for the Midterm Examination 📝 under the guidance of Assistant Training Staff CPO Dodie P. Dele Cruz. But the training didn’t stop there…

Right after the exam, the unit pushed forward and maximized every remaining minute through rigorous drills 💪—strictly following the schedule and directives set by the Commandant during the recent courtesy call.

No wasted time. No excuses. Just pure dedication.

From mental readiness to physical ex*****on, each cadet demonstrated the core values of ROTC—teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Every command followed, every step executed, brings them closer to becoming the leaders our nation needs. 🔰

This is more than just training. This is preparation for service. This is shaping character. This is building the future.

Honoring the bravery and sacrifice of our heroes during the Liberation of Panay 🇵🇭✨

On March 18, 1945, Filipino guerrillas together with American forces led by General Douglas MacArthur successfully freed Panay from Japanese occupation during World War II.

This historic victory reminds us of the courage, unity, and resilience of our people. May we continue to honor their legacy by cherishing the freedom we have today.

This day is observed as a local holiday in Iloilo to commemorate the courage, unity, and resilience of the Panaynon people who fought for freedom. May we continue to honor their legacy and cherish the independence we enjoy today.
