ISUFST Automotive Graduates Achieve Prestigious Toyota Honors

The Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) proudly celebrates two of its outstanding Automotive Technology graduates who have earned prestigious recognitions from Toyota Roxas City on March 13, 2026—proving that ISUFST excellence thrives in the real world.

Jay O. De Juan (Batch 2017), a graduate of the Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Automotive, was awarded Technician of the Year—a distinguished honor given to individuals who demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, precision, and unwavering dedication to their craft. His achievement reflects years of hard work, discipline, and commitment to delivering top-quality automotive service.

Peter A. Radin (Batch 2019), also a graduate of the same program, received the Service Department Award of Excellence after seven years of consistent and exemplary service. Delegates from ISUFST met, reviewed, and began exchanges aimed at strengthening curriculum and industry alignment—exactly the practical, peer-to-peer learning such visits are for. This initiative underscores the university’s drive to improve its BIndTech programs through collaboration and real‑time feedback. The two-day benchmarking between ISUFST and ISATU’s College of Industrial Technology comes to a meaningful close at the ISAT-U Barotac Nuevo Campus, completing a learning exchange that began at ISAT-U Main in La Paz, Iloilo City. Across both sites, delegates met, reviewed programs, and shared practices aimed at strengthening curriculum relevance and industry alignment. What started as conversations in city classrooms now ends in a fisheries campus grounded in community realities—proof that good ideas travel both ways. For ISUFST, the country’s only state university of fisheries, the visit reflects a steady commitment to build partnerships that sharpen its BIndTech programs and open wider doors for its students and the sectors they will soon serve.

The College of Industrial Technology of Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) conducted a Parents’ Consultative Meeting regarding the proposed transfer of the Bachelor of Industrial Technology – Major in Automotive to the Tiwi Site.

The meeting was led by Dr. Rodel Dosano, Dean of CIT, Dr. Stephen Raymund T. Jinon, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Instr. Melchor P. Licera, Jr., Program Chair of BIT Major in Automotive, discussing the reasons for the transfer, future facilities, and addressing parents’ concerns during the open forum.
