Yesterday, August 7, 2026, the officers of the Society of Computer Technology (SCT), together with the officers of the different student organizations of NISU in Lemery Campus, took their Oath of Office in a meaningful ceremony held at the campus.

The ceremony was led by our Campus Administrator, Dr. Ruby S. Yotoko, who formally administered the oath and reminded the newly inducted student leaders of the responsibility that comes with leadership and service.

The oath-taking marked not only the beginning of our term but also a renewed commitment to serve with integrity, lead with purpose, and represent the student body with dedication.

As we officially begin this journey, may we always remember that leadership is not simply about holding a position—it is about serving, listening, and making a meaningful difference.

The Society of Computer Technology (SCT) successfully held its Special Election on 𝓐𝓾𝓰𝓾𝓼𝓽 7, 2026, at the Laboratory 1 of the BSIT Department of NISU in Lemery Campus.

The election was conducted to fill the vacant positions within the organization and ensure the continued and effective representation of the BSIT student body. The election was attended by all classroom officers and the remaining SCT officers, who actively participated in the selection of the new officers and representatives. The election was presided over by SCT President Gerlie Dela Peña, who facilitated the proceedings and ensured an orderly and fair election process.

𝓑𝓢𝓘𝓣 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓱𝓶𝓮𝓷 𝓞𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓶 2026

On 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 (𝙎𝘾𝙏), under the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) Department of Northern Iloilo State University in Lemery, successfully conducted the BSIT Freshmen Orientation Program at the Socio-Cultural Hall.

The program was organized to formally welcome the incoming BSIT freshmen and introduce them to the BSIT Department and its faculty members as they begin their college journey. It also provided essential information regarding their respective faculty advisers, room assignments, prescribed uniform, and attendance guidelines.

The program commenced with an Opening Prayer, followed by a message from Dr. Rene D. Arduo, BSIT Department Chairperson, who shared valuable words of guidance and encouragement with the incoming freshmen.

Adding energy to the program, the SCT Officers led the Unity Dance, bringing the freshmen and organization members together in a moment of fellowship, participation, and unity.

The Orientation Proper followed, featuring the presentation of the BSIT faculty members, advisory assignments, and room assignments, led by Angela Deocadez, 3rd Year Representative. The prescribed uniform and attendance guidelines were then presented by Liemar Labtic, SCT Vice President.

The program also featured an interactive Question and Answer Portion, giving the freshmen an opportunity to raise questions and clarify concerns. Students who answered the prepared questions correctly were awarded cash prizes as a simple token of appreciation for their participation and knowledge, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere throughout the activity.

The program concluded with the Closing Remarks delivered by Gerlie P. Dela Peña, SCT President, who warmly welcomed and encouraged the freshmen as they begin their journey in the BSIT program.

The Society of Computer Technology sincerely thanks Dr. Rene D. Arduo for his presence, guidance, and valuable message. We also extend our appreciation to all BSIT faculty members for their continued support and dedication to our freshmen. The SCT likewise recognizes the efforts of the SCT Officers, student representatives, and everyone who contributed to the success of the activity.

To our BSIT freshmen, welcome to the BSIT family! May your journey be filled with learning, growth, meaningful experiences, and opportunities as you strive to become future IT professionals. 💙💻

Earlier today, July 31, 2026, the entire campus came alive as different school organizations united for Oplan Limpyo sa Kolehiyo in preparation for the opening of classes on August 3.

Representing the 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗦𝗖𝗧), we proudly joined the clean-up drive alongside fellow student organizations. Different organizations, different responsibilities but one shared goal and that is to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone this coming school year.

1️⃣ Visit the registration website.
2️⃣ Click Get Pass and Fill in your School ID Number and required information.

5️⃣ On your dashboard, you may either download your QR Code or click EMAIL QR CODE to send a copy directly to your Gmail.
6️⃣ Save your QR Code on your phone or print it for easy scanning during the event.

Ready ka na ba sa balikan? Ops... hindi sa kanya ha! 🤭 Sa school lang tayo babalik, kasi siya? Baka may iba na. 😭

Time na ulit gumising nang maaga, maghabol sa attendance, mag-cram ng assignments, magpanggap na naiintindihan ang lesson, at umasa na hindi ikaw ang matawag sa recitation. 🤓📚😂
