Western Visayas College of Science and Technology Alumni Association, Incorporated
The Western Visayas College of Science and Technology Alumni Association, Incorporated is a non-stock, non-profit organization duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under SEC Reg. The purposes for which the association was organized are as follows: (1) to unite all members of this association
into one cohesive body pursuing common goals and ideals (2) to foster the general welfare of the members (3) to promote mutual help, cooperation and fellowship among members (4) to encourage the members to render service to the association, to the college and to the country (5) to promote scientific, vocational and technological, arts and cultural education. As an active partner of the college in achieving her lofty missions and goals, the WVCST Alumni Association, Incorporated has been an active participant in the formulation of policies of the college, being one of the sectors represented in the Board of Trustees. In the same manner, the association is working closely with other major stakeholders of the college in pursuance of its mission. The association has been instrumental in the selection of Dr. Luis M. Sorolla, Jr., the lone alumni candidate to the Search for the 3rd College President of the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology. With a net worth of P1,995,358.34 in fiscal year 2005, it increased to P3,206,846.85 as of today. It also increased its assets. Among those is the alumni dormitory, which has been undergoing improvements for the benefit of the occupants, with funding coming from the WVCST-ISAT Alumni of Guam and the rentals of the dormitory. The Alumni Centennial Hall, which serves as the offices of the Alumni Association and the Federated Faculty and Employees Association, College Museum and Conference Hall, had its formal inauguration last September 12, 2006. It is now ready to serve as a fully air-conditioned conference hall and art museum of the alumni artists. The association continues its journey towards new horizons by introducing more improvements and creating more linkages for the benefit of the association and the college. OBJECTIVES
