The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) achieved an outstanding victory as its official film entry, 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗼. 𝟴 — “𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚,”emerged as the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 in the Short Film Making Contest, held as part of the university’s VAWC Program with the theme “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines.”

Produced in collaboration with The Circle Media, the official publication of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Junrho Films, the short film showcased exceptional craftsmanship, strong performances, and a compelling narrative aligned with the university’s advocacy.

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) secured another achievement as its representative, Jane Quillain, earned 2nd Place in the Character Impersonation Contest held on December 6, 2025 during the university’s VAWC Program.

Quillain portrayed environmental advocate Gina Lopez, delivering a compelling performance that stood out among the participants. The activity formed part of the institution’s observance of the campaign themed “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines,” aimed at promoting awareness and strengthening efforts to end violence against women and children.

The College of Arts and Sciences commends Quillain for bringing pride to the department and for contributing to the advocacy through creative representation.

Presenting the official film entry No. 8 of the College of Arts and Sciences
“ALIBANGBANG”

In solidarity with the Elimination of Violence Against Women (EVAW) campaign, the participating colleges of Guimaras State University, through the GSU Student Republic and the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, present their films to strengthen awareness, encourage dialogue, and promote a culture of safety and respect within the university community.

The full screening of all entries will be held on December 6, 2025 at the University Gym from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Everyone is invited to attend and support this advocacy.
