DVAM (๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก) is a national campaign dedicated to raising awareness about domestic violence, observed in the month of October. It aims to protect individuals, honor survivors, and unite communities against domestic violence.
Violence should never be welcomed in any form of relationship. ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ซ๐๐๐จ๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ณ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ ๐จ๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ ๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐, representing courage, peace, and a dedication to ending violence.
We live in a world tethered to iniquities that can cause violence, such as growing envious of someone, being overtaken by rage, having one's pride wounded, or being too greedy to possess someone. Such acts are never justified, yet some suffer violence repeatedly, endangering their lives. Domestic violence commonly affects women, but ๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐ฏ๐ข๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซโit also includes men in both heterosexual and same-sex relationships.
By modern definition, domestic violence is not only about physical or sexual abuse, but also includes emotional and psychological abuse, economic abuse, stalking and harassment, and technological abuse. Therefore, simply humiliating your partner, controlling their access to financial resources, monitoring or following them, and sharing non-consensual private images are already forms of domestic violence.

Now that you are aware, a lavender is planted in your heart, symbolizing our awareness of domestic violence and our care for anyone who has survived it. Because if a community remains ignorant of these heinous acts, can peace and justice truly uphold their value?
