A successful outreach initiative grounded in service, compassion, and knowledge. 🤍

“KKK: Kaalaman sa Katawan para sa Kalusugan” grew from a simple activity into a meaningful milestone in promoting health awareness and strengthening the community of Tanza Esperanza. Through teamwork and dedication, the initiative became a bridge of care and learning for the residents.

The team distributed arrozcaldo and bottled water to the community as an act of support and giving warmth. Informative flyers about hypertension and diabetes were also given to help raise awareness about management, prevention, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

More than providing food and information, the outreach embodied unity, and commitment to serve the community. It reminded everyone that even small acts of kindness and education can create a lasting impact on the lives of others and inspire a healthier, stronger community.

The 𝘐𝘋𝘊-𝘊𝘖𝘕 proudly showcased academic excellence and innovation during the 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 (𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗦) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held last May 16, 2026, at West Visayas State University. Anchored on the theme, “𝘋𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘙𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘉𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘭𝘺 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥: 𝘍𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘕𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩”, the summit became a platform for nursing students and professors to present meaningful and socially relevant studies that contribute to the advancement of healthcare and nursing education.

Demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration, the student researchers worked closely with their professors and research advisers in developing studies that reflected dedication, critical thinking, and a passion for service. Their collective effort and professionalism became a proud representation of the institution, embodying the excellence and values of the College of Nursing.

As summer intensifies, high heat index levels are being experienced across the Philippines this April (based on PAGASA forecasts). This kind of heat isn’t just uncomfortable—it can be dangerous. ⚠️

🚨HEATSTROKE PREVENTION should be our priority!

You might be asking…what is HEATSTROKE❓
-Heat stroke is a life-threatening condition that occurs when the body’s temperature rises above 40°C (104°F) due to prolonged exposure to heat or strenuous activity, and the body can no longer regulate its temperature. 🌡️

🙏HOW CAN YOU PREVENT HEATSTOKE?
1. Stay hydrated and use sun protection🚰☂️
2. Wear appropriate clothing (avoid dark-colored clothing)👚👕
3. Avoid peak heat hours (10 AM to 4 PM‼️) and stay in a cool environment❄️
4. Take frequent breaks⏱️
