Despite the leaden skies, the cards were dealt, the booth was set, and the house was opened.

On August 10, 2026, PSSO, Inc. joined the Westival festivities at the Wellness Park, mingling with the entire West community, for a day of games, conversations, if rambunctious, and shared moments of levity to start off a week of recits and readings.

Here’s a look back at the faces, laughs, and memories that made our Westival experience one to remember.

It’s been a little over two weeks since we asked our Political Science and Psychology freshies how they were feeling on their first day, and we’ve been wondering the same thing ever since. Hopefully, you’re still finding your classrooms, surviving your readings, remembering your classmates’ names, and slowly making this place feel like your own.

Here’s a little rewind to Day 1, when everything was new and the jungle was just beginning to unfold. We’re glad you’re here, freshies.

From orientation lights to afterlights, the CAS Orye and Comaraderie stage was set ablaze last August 6, 2026.

Letʼs have a quick rewind of the time when the ultimate power combo of PSSO, Inc. and the pioneering batch of Psychology gave their all.

Truly, their talents dazzled the crowd and enlivened the CASimanwa spirit!

The Political Science Students’ Organization, Inc. proudly congratulates its alumna, Ms. Kyla Agnes Ramirez, on her achievement as a recipient of the full scholarship grant of the 2026 Taiwan ICDF Scholarship Program. Kyla has been awarded the scholarship to pursue the International MA Program in Arts and Creative Industries at Taipei National University of the Arts in Taiwan.

This milestone comes alongside offers from other prestigious institutions. She has been admitted to the Master of Social and Cultural Anthropology at KU Leuven, Belgium, with a partial tuition waiver, and has likewise been offered a full scholarship to the ASEAN Master in Sustainability Management at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia.

Ms. Ramirez graduated as Magna Cum Laude of Class 2024 and has been an active student leader in her college years which includes being the founding Chairperson of the WVSU - Maaram among others.

PSSO, Inc. is immensely proud to see one of its own flourish beyond the halls of Quezon and into the wider world.

If you’ve been meaning to apply but you’re still unsure, this is your sign to go for it. Here are a few quick answers to the questions we’ve been getting:

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞?
Applications are open until next week, but if you’re genuinely interested in being part of the team, we’ll still be accepting applicants beyond the deadline. We’d much rather receive a late application than miss the chance to work with someone who wants to grow with us.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰?
That’s completely okay. You can submit any proof of work related to the role you’re applying for, whether it’s a school project, a personal edit, a design you made for fun, a caption you’ve written, or anything that shows your interest and potential. We’re open to beginners, and what matters most is that you have a basic understanding of your chosen role and are willing to learn, improve, and receive guidance along the way.

Don’t wait until you feel “good enough.” Every creative starts somewhere, and we’d love to see what you can bring to the team!
