𝐏𝐒𝐒𝐎, 𝐈𝐍𝐂. 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

The Political Science Students’ Organization, Inc. successfully held its General Assembly last June 8, 2026 via Google Meet. The gathering commenced with the presentation of the Financial Report and Accomplishment Report, bolstering its commitment to transparency as to the organization’s finances, programs, activities, initiatives, and achievements throughout the academic year. The assembly also featured the heartfelt messages from the two Most Outstanding Students of the AB Political Science Class of 2026.

The event concluded with the election of the new set of officers for Academic Year 2026–2027, marking the transition to a new chapter of leadership and service. As we celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and look forward to new opportunities ahead, may we continue to uphold the values of excellence, integrity, and active citizenship.

𝐖𝐕𝐒𝐔 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝟑𝟓𝐓𝐇 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆

The Political Science Students' Organization, Inc., in concert with the Social Science Department, successfully launched the 35th Anniversary Celebration of the West Visayas State University Political Science Program, with the theme, "𝟑𝟓 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐬, 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧," last May 22, 2026 at the WVSU Board Room.

The event was graced by distinguished alumni and speakers, Hon. Rodolfo S. Convocar and Atty. Ma. Geobelyn Lopez-Beraye, whose careers in law, public service, education, and advocacy continue to inspire future generations of Political Science students. Their insights and experiences highlighted the enduring values of leadership, integrity, and service that the program has upheld for the past 35 years.

As the first major event of the anniversary celebration, the launching marks the beginning of more meaningful activities and gatherings in the months to come, bringing together the Political Science community in commemorating its enduring legacy and shared commitment to excellence and public service.

𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐒

Last May 18, aspiring students took their first step into the halls of Quezon Hall as they sat for the PolSAT and BS Psychology Aptitude Test, an important part of the admission process for future Taga-West Political Science and Psychology students.

This year also marks a milestone for the institution with the opening of the BS Psychology program, welcoming its very first batch of applicants as the pioneer group of future Psychology students.

The Political Science Students' Organization, Inc. wishes all applicants the best as you move forward toward becoming future leaders, advocates, and professionals who will one day join us in making a difference beyond the walls of the university.
