Region 6: Western Visayas
=============================

The Western Visayas region consists of Aklan, Antique, Bacolod, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Iloilo City, Negros Occidental.

Application period is from November 26 to 29, 2013 or until slots are filled.

Applicants must apply online using the DOH CHD 6 website (which is down as of the moment). More updates soon.

Requirements:
>Application form (downloadable within the link)
>Letter of Application addressed to the CHD director
>PRC License Card (Original and Photocopy)
>Updated resume
>Photocopy of certificates of trainings or seminars attended
>Additional requirements may be needed, please check per region.

The Nurse Deployment Project 2014 (NDP) of the Department of Health (DOH) has opened its applications starting November 4 for interested nurse applicants. Updates about the application, selection and recruitment process and schedules will be posted here.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

The USANAA would like to inform everyone that donations in goods for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda are to be channeled to the University of San Agustin Social Advocacy and Community Engagement Office (SACEO) or the Tilipunan Community Service Center, Dolse Garcia Hall (Main Campus).

In such, the USANAA is encouraging each and everyone to be a part of this event.

The victims need FOOD, CLOTHING, WATER and TOILETRIES.

For food, READY-TO-EAT or canned goods that require no cooking is highly recommended such as pork and beans, tuna, sardines. Rice is also among them. Biscuits and other less perishable foods are also welcomed.

For water, 500 mL - 1000 mL are being accepted. You may also send water by the gallons.

For clothing, any apparel will do. Blankets, pillows and the like are also being suggested.

Colleagues, the USANAA is suggesting that donations in goods will be done as one type of good per batch.

Example:
BSN Class 1989 - Rice,
BSN Class 1991 - canned goods (pork and beans)
BSN Class 1992 - canned goods (sardines)
BSN Class 1993 - toiletries
BSN Class 1994 - water
BSN Class 1995 - clothing

This is to facilitate an increase in the number of goods that will be sent to our brothers and sisters in need. There is no limit as to the number of goods so long as the type your batch has agreed on will be followed that you will be sending.

Any representative or the head of the batch may comment below this feed so as to facilitate coordination. Formation of Batch Core Groups are also encouraged.

Your active support and participation will be highly appreciated.

Mrs. Nelida Lamasan and Mrs. Alice Blancaver are the President and Treasurer respectively. The said account name are of both under these professional nurses because the organization is not yet registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) which is one of the requirements of BPI to open an account under the organization's name.

Rest assured that every centavo of your monetary donation will be spent for the victims of the Supertyphoon.

DONATIONS IN GOODS may be channeled through the USA-CoN Office.

FOOD AND WATER are of utmost concern as of the moment. For food, kindly donate ready-to-eat or those that do not require cooking or are easily perishable. Canned goods are highly recommended.

CLOTHING are also accepted. If you can spare a blanket, we would be thankful.
