JDC, SAMUN Earn Gawad Agustino Recognition

The Junior Diplomats Corp (JDC) received a commendation award during the Universityโ€™s Gawad Agustino under the Agustinian Passion Projects (APPS) category for Leadership and Learnership last May 29.

The recognition was awarded to the organizationโ€™s initiative, the San Agustin Model United Nations (SAMUN), which seeks to encourage the youth to develop their skills in negotiation, diplomacy, leadership, and public speaking through simulations of international affairs and policymaking.

Third-year student Sasskia Olde Casidsid and second-year student Jhazper Shaun Gelvezon represented JDC in presenting SAMUN as the organizationโ€™s entry for APPS.

JDC also received a Certificate of Recognition as one of the Universityโ€™s Registered Student Organization (RSO) for Academic Year 2025-2026, recognizing its continued commitment to student leadership and community engagement.
