๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ ๐ท | NISU Batad Showcases Cutting-Edge Research at 2025 WARAGWAGAN (Research In-House Review)
Batad, Iloilo โ Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) Batad Campus buzzed with intellectual energy last October 21, 2025 as the Office of Research and Development Services (ORDS) hosted the 2025 WARAGWAGAN (Research In-House Review). The event, held at the campus conference room, highlighted the university's commitment to advancing research and innovation.
Miss Angel Mae J. Oblido served as the emcee, guiding the program through its various segments. The event commenced with an opening prayer, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the NISU Hymn, beautifully rendered by the NISU Batad Chorale.
Dr. Veminrose A. Clariza-Samuel, the Campus Administrator, delivered an inspiring opening message, emphasizing NISU's tagline, "LUPAD," which translates to "fly" in Hiligaynon, encouraging attendees to soar to new heights in research and innovation. Dr. Hene L. Hapinat, Director of ORDS, articulated the Statement of Purpose, setting the stage for a day of insightful presentations and discussions.
Dr. Gilbert C. Biรฑas, Director of KMITT, introduced the plenary speaker, Dr. Larry B. Deysolong, Vice President of Research and Extension. Dr. Deysolong delivered a presentation aligned with the event's theme, "๐๐ฅ๐ท๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ค๐ฉ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ท๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐๐จ๐ณ๐ช๐ค๐ถ๐ญ๐ต๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ, ๐ต๐ฆ๐ค๐ฉ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ๐บ, ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฅ๐ถ๐ค๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ด๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ข๐ช๐ฏ๐ข๐ฃ๐ญ๐ฆ ๐ง๐ถ๐ต๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด," providing a broad perspective on the importance of research in these critical areas.
Prof. Charmaine Joy C. Ballera outlined the criteria and mechanics of the presentation sessions and introduced the esteemed panel members for each of the three clusters: Education, Social Sciences, and Product Development; Information and Communication Technology/Emerging Technology; and Fisheries, Agriculture, and Natural Sciences.

A total of 28 presenters shared their research, divided among the clusters: 11 from Education, Social Sciences, and Product Development; 10 from Information and Communication Technology/Emerging Technology; and 7 from Fisheries, Agriculture, and Natural Sciences.
