11 OCTOBER 2026 | 2ND TRAINING DAY

The Cavite State University–Imus ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 2nd Training Day at the Cavite State University–Imus City Campus.

The activity commenced with the checking of attendance and proper bearing of cadets, followed by the accounting of troops. These activities ensured proper accountability and reinforced discipline and military bearing among the cadets.

The training featured discussions on AFP Core Values and Rank Insignia, presented by PFC Vince Joshua D Sicam PA (Res), Graduate Military Assistant, and Military Courtesy and Discipline, facilitated by PFC Marione Margaret P Fronda PA (Res), Graduate Military Assistant. A quiz was conducted after the discussions to assess and reinforce the cadets’ understanding of the topics presented.

The cadets and training personnel also conducted a dry run for the upcoming Donning of Ranks ceremony. The rehearsal focused on familiarizing the participants with the sequence of activities, proper formations, coordination, and ex*****on of their assigned roles to ensure the orderly conduct of the ceremony.

Through the dedication and cooperation of the cadets and training personnel, the 2nd Training Day was successfully completed, further strengthening the cadets’ military knowledge, discipline, teamwork, and commitment to their training.

04 OCTOBER 2026 | 1ST TRAINING DAY

The Cavite State University–Imus ROTC Unit successfully conducted its 1st Training Day at the Cavite State University–Imus City Campus.

The activity commenced with the checking of attendance and proper bearing of cadets, followed by discussions and practical instruction on proper military bearing and basic drills. The cadets were guided in developing discipline, coordination, and proper military customs and courtesies as part of their initial training.

The ROTC Orientation was conducted to provide the cadets with essential knowledge regarding the grading system, proper bearing, and the roles and responsibilities of the Training Staff and Cadet Officers. The orientation also included an introduction to the organization of the Philippine Army, discussed by Sgt Miguel Carlo DP Palado PA (RES).

The cadets were further oriented on AFP History, including the functions of the Philippine Army, Headquarters Philippine Army (HPA) organization, personal and coordinating staffs, and combat units. A short assessment was also conducted to reinforce their understanding of the topics discussed by 1LT MARLON Q MARTINEZ OS PA (RES) Assistant Commandant of Cavite State University–Imus ROTC Unit.

The successful conduct of the training was made possible through the participation of Training Staff, alumni, and Cadet Officers, who contributed to the proper ex*****on of the day’s activities.

The CvSU–Imus ROTC Unit successfully provided vital support during the NSTP Orientation for freshmen from different academic departments. The orientation was fully supported by the ROTC Unit training staff, cadet officers, cadets, and alumni, who assisted students to their designated areas and guided them smoothly through the registration process.

The orientation introduced first-year students to the core components of the National Service Training Program—Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC)—to help them choose their path of national service.

​Anchored on the constitutional mandate under Article II, Section 4 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution and institutionalized by Republic Act No. 9163 (NSTP Act of 2001), the primary purpose of the ROTC program is to motivate, train, organize, and mobilize tertiary students for national defense preparedness and civil-military operations. Beyond fulfilling civic duty, students who join ROTC gain invaluable benefits, including leadership development, character building, and crisis management skills. Additionally, the program offers pathways to becoming commissioned officers or enlisted personnel in the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and other uniformed services, while placing cadets in the AFP Reserve Force to serve as frontliners during disaster relief and humanitarian operations.

A special highlight of the event was the ROTC briefing delivered by PFC Marione Margaret P Fronda PA (Res), which detailed cadet advancement, uniform protocols, and training day activities, followed by an interactive Q&A session.
