Representing CvSU Imus, Dr. Agnes C. Francisco, OIC, Office of the Campus Administrator, Dr. Elvira P. Pakingan, and Ms. Margarette B. Soberano attended the International Conference on Women Empowerment and Leadership in Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources (WELA 2026) held at the CvSU International Convention Center in Indang, Cavite from March 17–19, 2026.

With the theme “Inclusive Leadership and Foresight for Sustainable Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources,” the three-day event highlighted innovative strategies, best practices, and collaborations to empower women leaders in these vital sectors.

Their participation reflects CvSU Imus’ commitment to advancing leadership, sustainability, and inclusivity in agriculture and natural resource management.

On March 13, 2026, Dr. Agnes C. Francisco, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Campus Administrator of Cavite State University – Imus Campus, attended the 2026 Annual Scientific Conference and 3rd General Membership Assembly organized by Department of Science and Technology National Research Council of the Philippines.

The event gathered researchers, scientists, and academic leaders from different institutions to share scientific knowledge, strengthen research collaborations, and promote innovations that contribute to national development.

Dr. Francisco’s participation highlights the commitment of Cavite State University – Imus Campus to support research engagement and academic collaboration aligned with the advancement of science and technology in the country.

𝗖𝘃𝗦𝗨 𝗜𝗺𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹

The Cavite State University – Imus Campus conducts its First Quarter Earthquake Drill on March 12, 2026, at 3:30 PM, as part of the university’s continuing effort to promote disaster preparedness and safety among the campus community.

Faculty members, staff, and students actively participate in the drill by practicing the proper “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, followed by an orderly evacuation to the designated assembly areas. The activity aims to strengthen awareness and readiness in the event of an actual earthquake.

The drill is carried out under the supervision of campus officials and designated safety personnel who ensure that all participants follow the proper procedures throughout the simulation. Assigned marshals guide the evacuation and monitor the assembly areas to maintain safety and order.

Through this activity, CvSU Imus Campus continues to promote a culture of preparedness, equipping the university community with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies.

The Cavite State University – Imus Campus successfully conducted the Turnover Ceremony of the Officer-in-Charge Campus Administrator on March 9, 2026, at the Covered Court. The event marked the formal transition of leadership to the newly designated Officer-in-Charge Campus Administrator, Dr. Agnes C. Francisco.

The program included the opening prayer, the Philippine National Anthem, and welcome remarks from Dr. Alfe M. Solina. Messages were also delivered by Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, University President.

A symbolic turnover of responsibilities and official handover of documents was conducted, followed by the acceptance speech of Dr. Agnes C. Francisco. The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Sixto N. Ras Jr. and a photo opportunity, marking a new chapter of leadership for the campus.

On March 6, 2026, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region IV-A conducted various activities in observance of Fire Prevention Month 2026, under the leadership of 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗖𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗥𝗼𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗣. 𝗔𝗴𝘂𝘁𝗼 and with the guidance of𝗙𝗖𝗜𝗡𝗦𝗣 𝗛𝗮𝘆𝗰𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠. 𝗢𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗿

Anchored on this year’s theme, “Hangad Nating Lahat, Pamayanang Handa, Aktibo, at Masagana” (Our Shared Aspiration: A Community that is Prepared, Active, and Progressive), the activity aimed to strengthen public awareness, preparedness, and active community involvement in fire safety and prevention. The program gathered students from various schools who actively participated in educational and creative activities that promote the importance of fire safety.

Among the highlights of the event was the 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗽-𝗨𝗽 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, which showcased the creativity and awareness of students in communicating fire prevention messages through storytelling and visual art.

Bringing pride to Cavite State University – Imus Campus, 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗙𝗲 𝗥. 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻 emerged as the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 in the said competition. Her outstanding pop-up storybook demonstrated both creativity and a strong advocacy for fire safety awareness, effectively conveying the importance of preparedness and prevention within the community.

The CvSU Imus community congratulates 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗙𝗲 𝗥. 𝗗𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘇𝗺𝗮𝗻 for this remarkable achievement and commends the Bureau of Fire Protection Region IV-A for continuously promoting programs that educate and empower the youth to become advocates of fire safety.

This accomplishment reflects the active participation of the academic community in supporting initiatives that contribute to building a prepared, active, and progressive society.
