Happy Birthday Mtr. Hilbert!๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚

Thank you for having a servant's heart like Jesusโ€”always diligent, reliable, and willing to help around the disciple house without complaint. Your servant heart doesn't go unnoticed. We pray that Jesus fills your new year with His peace, strength, and abundant joy as you continue to walk with Him. May God bless you this year and keep drawing you closer to Him!

Even though life keeps you busy and you canโ€™t always be around, distance never changes a thing. You areโ€”and always will beโ€”an irreplaceable part of this ministry.

As you step into this new year, remember how much you are loved and appreciatedโ€”not just for all the hard work you do, but for the kind, servant heart you carry. May God continue to watch over you, bless your hands, and guide every single step ahead. Have the happiest birthday!๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅณ

These verses are a heartfelt prayer of a suffering person. A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak.

Pondering on it, this is not just a prayer. It is a prayer that is raw, honest, and heartfelt to God. One where I can say, โ€I canโ€™t do this anymore without You, God.โ€ This reminds us that God welcomes this kind of prayerโ€”our criesโ€“especially in hard seasons. He reminds us that we are not alone. Some days feel too heavy for us to carry. We don't have the right words to say, and some days all we can do is cry. But these verses reassure us that itโ€™s okay. Because God doesn't need perfect prayers. He just wants usโ€“with honest hearts.

So, with that invitation, we are assured that God is truly near. Because He hears and sees us. Because He does not hide His face when we are in trouble. And because He is God the Father who listens.

1 Samuel 3:18
So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, "It is the LORD. Let him do what seems good to him."

In this chapter this is where samuel was being called by the Lord, at first samuel didnโ€™t recognize the Lordโ€™s voice and thought it was his father eli who is calling him. Eli realized that samuel was being called by the Lord thatโ€™s why he told samuel to answer it.

This verse is after the Lord has spoken to samuel and told him what His plan is. After that he told eli everything and this is what happened. Eli told Samuel to Let the Lord do whatever good is in his eyes.

This verse is reminding us to let Go and let God, even though something cruel is happening and will happen let us all know that the Lord our God will always have a good plan for all of us. It might not be good in our eyes but the Lord has a purpose on it.

So whenever the Lord is calling us in to something, let us be like Samuel who respond quickly to the Lord. Let us be careful in listening to the word of God and obey it consistently.

Another thing that the Lord wants us to realize is, it is important to have a christian community. Because just like in the verse Eli helped Samuel to identify the word of God, the voice of the Lord. We should have friends that can help us to get to know the Lord more, friends that will help us to identify to voice of the Lord and friends that will lead you closer to the Lord

What do we need to do now?

We need to surround ourselves with a good and peaceful environment

We need to listen to the voice of the Lord

Let go and let God

Always remember that God is in control, He will not leave us nor forsake us.

1 Samuel 15;22-23

"Tell me", Samuel said. "Does the Lord really want sacrifices and offerings? No! He doesn't want your sacrifices. He wants you to obey him. Rebelling against God or disobeying him because you are proud is just as bad as worshiping idols or asking them for advice. You refused to do what God told you, so God has decided that you can't be king.:

In the context before these exchanges the LORD told his prophet at the time Samuel to relay a task for the King of Israel: Saul, to kill all the Amalekites because of the sufferings they have caused when Israel was moving away from Egypt. The instruction are crystal clear: "Kill everything, even the animals. Do not leave anything alive. Wipe them out."

Saul obeyed and God gave them an outstanding victory. A complete wipe out. However, Saul did not complete his mission. He took some cattle and left Amalekites king alive. At first I think why did the Lord felt sorry that He made king Saul king at verse 15 and why did Samuel mourned out in prayer? Saul won and obeyed but left some parts of the instruction. What should matter is he accomplished more than his failures. But I was wrong when I read the verses 22 - 23

PARTIAL OBEDIENCE IS DISOBEDIENCE! The Lord does not any of our vain sacrifices that we think matter. What the Lord wants is for us to OBEY, not delayed, not partially but completely surrender to His will. That's the faith we should aim to achieve. To completely obey Gods instruction and not trust our own instinct and understanding. I was naive when I first read that more accomplishments are pleasing to God because the failures are few but no. God does not work like that. People may gauge our victories as our spiritual growth and accomplishments. Like the army insisted Saul to let the animals live for sacrifice and not kill king Agag. But even they do not understand, some instructions that came from man may be only self serving. Does the army really want the animals for sacrifice or do they want to consume what is after the sacrifice, a feast. Human standard are not we should aim, when we obey what human think much more than God would think we may loose the honor God gave us. In this story king Saul lost the right as Israel's king, now his descendants will be normal people. Human heart is deceiving, we can try to coat our desires with expensive glaze but the clay pot is still cheap. In here, King Saul and the army may argue it is to sacrifice to God but in the end they just wanted the valueable things, and they wanted these things more than God.

I am so in awe of Gods standard, it is so far away with man. So my reflection is simple. Lord please help me to focus only on your voice. Do not let me deceive by any other voices. May it be from man or the enemy himself. In you I trust O God and only you I seek my council. And Lord if I ever fail, I believe in the grace that your Son has died for so please accept my repentance once more. I love you my Lord.

Humans naturally have a complex system of emotions that some creations don't, it's natural for our thoughts to be compulsive, irrational and even uncontrolled. Solomon, being considered the wisest man ever lived warns us about our thoughts, that we should be cautious and careful about it for it has the power to shape our life.

Will one be a physician if he stops believing that he will be one despite adversaries? Even after setbacks and failuresโ€” or what if it's the opposite, what if right after his first mistake is when he gives up believing in his dream.

It's important as Christians, we should be always careful on what we think about ourselves, the devil may attack and deceive us telling us that we should be ashamed, that we cannot be changed and hopeless but the amazing thing is that the truth is already at the table.

The moment we start believing that Jesus Christ is Lord; the price that we can never pay for our sins, the wounds and strips that should be oursโ€” He used His own life as a ransom for our Salvation just so we can be in union with Him. We now have a new identity in Christ Jesus, not because of who we are nor what we do but because of who He is and what He did on the Cross of cavalry.

Hence, Let us always keep in mind our new identity in Christ Jesusโ€” we are delivered, we are victorious, we are free and we are fully redeemed by our Lord. Think about such things.
