Two Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) students of Cavite State University (CvSU) –Carmona Campus secured top placements in the 30th Philippine Statistics Quiz (PSQ) – 21st Provincial Elimination held on September 22, 2026 at the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Conference Room in Trece Martires City, Cavite.
Jozsell Mallari, a first-year BSE student majoring in Mathematics, placed 2nd Runner-Up, earning a spot among the Top 3 provincial contestants. Fellow BSE Mathematics student Anthony Dion Pascual likewise delivered a strong performance, finishing among the Top 6 participants.
Mallari's Top 3 finish qualifies her to compete in the Regional Elimination of the Philippine Statistics Quiz, which is scheduled on October 14, 2026 in Lipa City, Batangas. She will represent Cavite in the regional competition and carry the name of CvSU-Carmona to the next level of the contest.
The students were coached by Asst. Prof. Robert Jan R. Bayan and Dr. Jenny Beb F. Espineli, with the support of the Department of Arts and Sciences, under the supervision of Dr. Shiela L. Vidallon. Their guidance and academic preparation helped equip the students for their participation in the competition.
CvSU-Carmona congratulates Mallari and Pascual for their commendable performance and extends its appreciation to their coaches for their guidance and support. The campus also wishes Mallari success as she advances to the regional elimination in October.

The Cavite State University (CvSU) congratulates its students for their participation in the 30th Philippine Statistics Quiz – Provincial Elimination.

Mr. Adrian Simon T. Jalimao of BSED Math 1-1, earned the Champion title, while Janneth Ann O. Bognot of BSAM 1-1, also represented CvSU in the competition.

The achievement was made possible with the guidance of coaches Ms. Jayson Savilla, Mr. Jonel Abella, Mr. Paul Vincent Botin, Ms. Jennifer Mojica, and Mr. Rene Betonio of College of Arts and Sciences - Department of Physical Science (CAS-DPS).

Mr. Jalimao, together with the other provincial winners, will represent the province of Cavite in the Regional Finals on October 14, 2026.

• A 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐡𝐩 𝟭𝟱𝟬.𝟬𝟬 will be collected by the College Placement Coordinators. (The registration fee will cover the seminar kits, chair and table rentals, snacks, certificates, speakers’ honoraria, and job fair expenses.)

Cavite State University (CvSU) celebrates the commendable performance of its campuses in the September 2026 Psychometricians Licensure Examination, with several campuses achieving passing rates above the national passing rate of 91.73%.

CvSU Main Campus achieved a 96.77% passing rate, while CvSU Bacoor, CvSU General Trias, CvSU Imus, CvSU Silang, and CvSU Trece Martires achieved 80.65%, 90.00%, 100%, 96.43%, and 90.70%, respectively.

Adding distinction to this achievement, Richelle Marie L. Beligon of CvSU Main Campus secured 8th place nationwide with a 92.80% rating, while Kayemicole Angela S. Tucker of CvSU Silang placed 10th nationwide with a 92.40% rating.

Congratulations to our newly licensed psychometricians, topnotchers, faculty members, and the entire CvSU community for this remarkable achievement!

CvSU advances agriculture research at IAC10 and AAACU25 in Malaysia

Cavite State University (CvSU) strengthened its international engagement in agricultural education, research, and innovation through its participation in the 10th International Agriculture Congress (IAC10) and the 25th Asian Association of Agricultural Colleges and Universities Biennial Conference (AAACU25), held in Melaka, Malaysia, from September 8–10, 2026.

Dr. Abigail P. Daria, Dean of the College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources (CAFENR), represented Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, University President, during the international gathering of agricultural colleges and universities. Dr. Daria presented a poster featuring Cavite State University, highlighting the University's academic, research, and institutional contributions to agricultural development.

Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Karl Louisse D. Obispo of the Department of Animal Science, CAFENR, represented CvSU in the scientific program through an oral research presentation under the Climate-Smart & Novel Farming System category. His paper, entitled “Influence of Dietary Vitamin E and Selenium on the Laying Performance, Egg Quality, and Carcass Characteristics of Japanese Quail (Coturnix coturnix japonica) under Heat Stress (34°C),” focused on the potential of nutritional strategies to mitigate the effects of elevated temperature on poultry production.

Beyond their presentations, Dr. Daria and Asst. Prof. Obispo actively participated in the plenary talks, gaining insights from international experts on emerging trends, innovations, and challenges shaping agriculture and agricultural higher education. Their participation provided opportunities for knowledge exchange and strengthened CvSU's engagement with the broader international agricultural research and education community.

As an active member of the Asian Association of Agricultural Colleges and Universities (AAACU), CvSU also participated in the AAACU General Assembly, where member institutions gathered to discuss matters concerning the Association and further opportunities for collaboration, academic exchange, and institutional cooperation.

The participation of Dr. Daria and Asst. Prof. Obispo reflects CvSU's continuing commitment to internationalization, research excellence, climate-smart agriculture, and academic collaboration. Their involvement brought both the University's institutional initiatives and research innovations to an international platform while creating opportunities to strengthen partnerships with agricultural institutions across Asia and beyond.
