𝘾𝘼𝙎𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙋𝘼𝙔 | 𝙆𝘼-𝙅𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙉𝙊 ✒️

It is with heavy hearts that we honor the memory of our fellow CASmate, Hazkheya Saturno from BA Journ 4-1, a beloved voice behind Journa and a dedicated member of the CvSU Journalism Guild. Kheya passed away this morning at Dasmariñas City Medical Center after a brave, two-year battle with congestive heart failure and kidney complications.

In this time of grief, we invite the entire CAS community to offer prayers, love, and support for her family as they navigate this painful loss. Any financial assistance, no matter the amount, will significantly help ease their burden during this difficult time. 🕊️🙏

Let us stand together in solidarity and extend our deepest compassion to one of our own. 🤍

𝗖𝗦𝗚 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗥𝗔 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗙𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗧𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧-𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠𝗦

The Central Student Government (CSG) has formally submitted a petition to Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Cristina M. Signo, requesting the opening of additional shifting slots for students affected by the recent qualifying examination results.

To support the appeal, the CSG presented data reflecting an initial 95 students seeking transfer opportunities into programs with remaining instructional and operational capacity:

• BS Biology (11 slots)
• BS Hospitality Management (11 slots)

The CSG has endorsed the petition to 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘀𝗮 for presentation during today’s Board of Regents meeting to ensure the concern reaches the highest policy-making body of the University.

While respecting college autonomy and academic standards, the CSG humbly urges the administration to maximize available program capacities—ensuring that affected Kabsuhenyos are given reasonable pathways to continue their academic journey.

​The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council proudly recognizes Louisa Mae Cosare as the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) for Academic Affairs, effective since June 15, 2026.

​Following the resignation of former COMACADS Senator Carl Mampusti, Louisa seamlessly stepped up from her role as Vice Chairperson to lead the committee. Since taking the helm, she has demonstrated remarkable dedication, initiative, and an unwavering commitment to steering our academic programs forward.

​Thanks to her proactive leadership, the committee continues to thrive, championing academic integrity and empowering student rights across the CAS community. ​Padayon sa pagserbisyo, Louisa!
