The University Civil Security Services (UCSS), through its Continuing Education Program, successfully conducted the 2nd Batch of the Incident Command System (ICS) Executive Course on November 26, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the International House II.

This one-day training provided members of the Administrative Council with essential knowledge on emergency leadership, decision-making, and the structure of the ICS—ensuring that CvSU’s key officials are well-prepared to lead and coordinate during critical incidents.

This initiative forms part of the university’s strengthened efforts to support the University President’s mandate on inclusivity and ASCEND, reinforcing a safer and more resilient CvSU community.

🤝 The training was made possible in partnership with Cavite PDRRMO and OCD CALABARZON.

🚨 3-Day Basic Incident Command System Training Successfully Conducted! 🚨

From November 19–21, 2025, Cavite State University conducted a Basic Incident Command System (BICS) Training for the University’s designated Unit Safety Officers at International House 2.

This three-day capacity-building activity was made possible through the University Civil Security Services’ Continuing Education Program, in partnership with the Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) CALABARZON.

Participants gained essential knowledge on ICS structure, functions, and coordinated emergency response—equipping them to effectively perform their roles during critical situations.

👏 All participants who completed the training are now officially part of the University DRRM Team, further strengthening CvSU’s preparedness and response capabilities.

Together, we continue to build a safer, more resilient CvSU community. 💚✨

✅ Gender-Responsive Incident Command System Executive Course (ICSEC)

The CvSU Civil Security Office, in partnership with the Cavite Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) CALABARZON, successfully conducted the Gender-Responsive Incident Command System Executive Course (ICSEC) for the members of the Administrative Council.

The activity was graced by the presence of University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, along with members of the Executive Committee (EXECOM).

This training highlights the university’s commitment to inclusive, efficient, and gender-responsive emergency and disaster management, ensuring that leadership and decision-making processes in times of crisis consider the needs of all sectors.

From theory to hands-on drills, our Unit Safety Officers are now rescue-ready and officially part of the CvSU DRRM Unit—trained to act fast, save lives, and keep the CvSU community safe when disasters strike. 💪🌍

🚨 CvSU Civil Security Services Office – Continuing Education Program 🚨

The Civil Security Services Office successfully conducted a 3-day training on Earthquake and Landslide Search and Rescue Operation (ELSAROC) for the 2nd Batch of designated Unit Safety Officers.

In partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office – Cavite (PDRRMO Cavite) as our expert resource speakers, this specialized training equipped our safety officers with the skills and knowledge needed to respond effectively during earthquake and landslide emergencies.

Those who completed the training will now serve as part of the CvSU Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Unit, ready to safeguard our community in times of disaster. 💪🌍
