[Formalized Research Partnership]

Cavite State University (CvSU) and Verde Carbon Capture, Inc. (VCCI) officially formalized their collaboration through a Ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement Signing held at the CvSU Board Room. The partnership marks a significant milestone for both institutions to advance research and innovation, particularly in addressing methane emissions from rice cultivation systems.

The agreement underscores CvSUโ€™s dedication to fostering research-based solutions to environmental challenges and VCCIโ€™s commitment to supporting initiatives aligned with sustainable and climate-responsive technologies.

The ceremony was attended in person by key CvSU officials led by Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, University President. Joining her were Dr. Venus O. Saz, Project Leader; Assoc. Prof. Ma. Veronica P. Peรฑaflorida, ILCLO Director; Mr. Patrick Lorenze M. Reyes, Study 1 Leader; Ms. Monina Dyan Elumba, Officer-in-Charge of CAFENR; Mr. Yves Roy M. Tibayan, Study 2 Leader and Linkages Coordinator; and Asst. Prof. Guillermo Desenganio, Project Staff.

Representing VCCI virtually were Dr. Takato Senoo, President; Ms. Eileen D. Tolentino, HR Manager; and Mr. Hamsha R. Saz, Country Manager.

The partnership between CvSU and VCCI is expected to enhance scientific understanding of greenhouse gas dynamics in rice ecosystems and support the development of strategies aimed at reducing emissions in Philippine agriculture.
