What’s more frightening—Halloween’s ghosts and ghouls, or the haunting uncertainty that looms over our institution?

This semester has felt like a long, exhausting test of resilience. Not because of exams or deadlines, but because of the unsettling changes within the college itself. Instructors—some of the most dedicated and academically accomplished—have left, driven away by negligence and a lack of support from both the administration and the local government. Their absence is deeply felt, not just in the classroom, but in the very spirit of Initao College.

In their place, replacements have been rushed in—some with minimal qualifications, others with little experience. This isn’t to diminish their efforts or potential, but academically speaking, they simply don’t measure up to the standards set by those we’ve lost. The transition has been jarring, and the quality of education has undeniably suffered.

Faculty attrition has become a chronic issue. In the scramble to fill vacancies, the institution seems to have forgotten the importance of retaining those who’ve tirelessly shaped its identity. The very individuals who poured their energy into building a culture of excellence are now overlooked, their contributions fading into the background as new hires take the stage.

It’s disheartening. And while Halloween may bring its share of spooky costumes and eerie tales, the real fear lies in watching an institution unravel—not from external threats, but from within.

With hearsay’s of corruption within the walls of the institution, the future is gloomy for the school.

How long will we continue to tolerate this kind of treatment and management? How long will we let fear dictate our actions? When will students recognize the immense power they hold—power capable of challenging and even ending the authority of those in charge?

Here she is again, the ever-powerful dean of the BSBA department. Why reprimand students for posting when you have no plans to fix your rotten system? How ironic to demand respect from students while treating them without any.

Hello Good day!
So I'm not that kind of a Person or a student nga mo talk bad about sa school or mag Post ug stuff and issues sa school, and I don't get the vibe or reasons ngano e post pa man nga pwde man e address ug tarong sa Office. Because for me, That's my school I should protect and respect it, even though ang system is wala na ga dima-o.
I am very patient when it comes sa rules and system, and sometimes gaka sapoton ko but I have to remain silent about it.

Naay Instructor sa school nga gina ignan mi ug dli mag post kung naay issue and dli na mag reklamo, instead mo adto sa Dean. So I thought, yeah she's right, it's the most proper way to address your issues.

So one time ni sulod ko sa school naka white blouse with black lines on it and gi kwaan ko ug ID and gihatagan ug form kay wlaa daw ko nag follow sa "PRESCRIBED UNIFORM" sa school which is White T-shirt, kay blouse daw akong gi suot. But for me that was my best white T-shirt at that time because wala nakoy time maka panlaba tungod rapud sa Schedule sa IC. But still I was compliant about it.

Karun ni adto ko sa Dean about sa Uniform 'cause "that's the best way to address your concern" and to my surprise " GI BASTA BASTA RAKO UG TUBAG NI MA'AM CINDY"
I asked her politely about when e implement ang school Uniform and she told me " SUS, AYAW NA PAG KU-ANA ANG UNIFORM KAY WALA PA NA, SUNDA NLNG UNSAY GI INGON SA SCHOOL" with her tone nga she is High and Mighty kaayo ba. Tbh, na shock ko.
Okay gi brush off ra nako to, kay naa koy respect.

But we were taught to address our issues sa Dean tas inana ra sila mo tubag.

Tas gi ignan mi nga dli mi mag saba, to think ang schedule nga ila gi himo² is wala gi approve sa Dean.

There's a time nga naa koy class Saturday in this specific nga subject, 2:00pm-5:00pm. And naa sa handbook namo is if 30mns. Late na ang Instructor without any notice pwde na mo uli. But kami, we were patient enough to wait until 4:45, from 2pm to 4:45pm nag hulata rami, until naka decide me mama uli, ka abot nako sa house nga nag Announce ang Gc nga ni abot na among instructor ug ipa balik mi (5pm sya gi abot) mo klasi daw sya ug 5-8pm taman ang dli mo balik absent. Okay so absent ko ato.

Tas krn naa nsd Teacher nga mag buot² ug himo ug own schedule tas ang mga estyudante gaka poliki ug pangita ug classroom tas gi report sa DEAN walay Gi buhat and Dean. 6 am raba kaayo ang schedule nga gi buhat². Tas when I told that Teacher nga ang naa sa schedule nga gi approve sa Dean is lahi gi ignan rako ug "BAG-OHON GANI NATO, HAHAYY"
Wow ma'am very professional.

Now I've had enough with this issues nga dli gina solve sa mga naa sa Taas because gina tudloan mi mahimong silent about it. I respect and I'm protecting the school, but if the School is not protecting the students then, I will make a letter to formally address the issues.

Karun I urge everyone to address all the issues, address your concern. If the school will not do anything about it, maybe the CHED will do something.
This week I will seek legal advices and I will send a Formal Letter sa CHED.

Many students have faced the same problem due to a disorganized system. Over the past 25 years, there has been no improvement in how the institution handles things. Countless students have experienced similar misfortunes and have done everything in their power to correct issues they were unaware of. Unfortunately, there has been no accountability from the institution, nor a sense of remorse.

It’s disheartening to hear that Initao College, which should be a place of learning and empowerment, has instead become a business venture for those on power.

How dare you!

We have recently obtained recordings of the TAGAPAGMANA VPAA and the ALL MIGHTY SAS COORDINATOR making derogatory remarks towards students, as well as comments made when students requested documents for the TES scholarship grant.

"How dare you!"

IN CASE YOU ARE NOT INFORMED

By: The Diplomatic Liberty

After days of hiatus, the situations have provoked me. I have finally decided to speak up for these students who have been immensely perturbed by people who used their authority to manipulate them.

How come a higher institution decides to cease someone's dream without an absolute ground? Considering an infirmed degree of transgression, it's so erroneous to utilize the so-called academic freedom to tell students that they cannot graduate just because they use their initiative to suffice their longing to wear an internship uniform. I just can't imagine how the people who are supposed to be supporting these students are devoured by egos for just a simple clothing without a logo. I mean, can't we just be happy and try to handle or look for more probable and positive resolutions for that issue than to suspend them and let them clean the campus while disrupting their training as interns?

On the different page, a lot of students from the same institution can't even contain their joy seeing their names included in a financial subsidies. However, when they tried to ask for their grade slips as required of them for the said financial assistance, they were sarcastically told that they are too overwrought of complying these things for money. --Like, they deserve it in the first place. Besides, it's not just you who contributed taxes for you to overbearingly grab the credit. There are bigger groups of ppl contributed more than you guys do. It's not someone's money. It's from the community. So we don't get to delay these students' requests and add unbecoming remarks towards them, for that's their right and you have a null power to argue with that.

Admit it or not, these students are not just mere learners of the institution but the real reasons why an institution is still on its operation. Tbh, some of them were already aware of the power that they hold but remained serene due to the instilled fear of losing everything they had been working so hard for.

Schedule.

As we enter the second week since Initao College opened its gates for the second semester, schedules remain in flux due to ongoing mishaps and conflicts. Despite the passage of time, no stable timetable has been established, leaving students in a state of uncertainty.

One of our dear senders has voiced her frustration with how the schedules were distributed, only to be treated unprofessionally and with empty promises instead of real solutions. This is one of the many reasons why Initao College has faced heavy criticism. Instead of addressing the issues, the management resorts to attacking those who speak out. Students are often threatened with failing marks or, worse, barred from enrollment if they dare to voice their concerns. Is this what we consider good management?

The scheduling problem may also be linked to the sudden resignation of faculty members who cited "toxic and distasteful management" as their reason for leaving.

The year 2065 is still a long way off, yet we are expected to wait for these so-called small steps toward progress. Was this distant timeline set to avoid accountability for the current mismanagement? The Local Government Unit (LGU) and the administration of Initao College have been turning a blind eye to these issues for far too long. No solutions have been provided, and nothing has been done to address the problem.

Hello, TEP, what's the latest buzz?

In the bustling corridors of TEP, where educators are shaped and futures are forged, one might expect a certain level of decorum and professionalism. Yet, whispers of chaos and disarray abound, painting a picture of a program teetering on the edge of calamity.

From catechist-like interns to scheduling catastrophes, one must ask: what more can be expected from a dean who runs the program like a headless chicken? While delegating tasks might be lauded as a hallmark of effective leadership, one cannot help but ponder whether this is truly an effort to mentor and empower the faculty, or merely a means to shirk responsibility.

Last year's remarkable exam pass rates were undoubtedly a testament to the dedication and expertise of the previous faculty and program coordinator. However, with those capable individuals now gone, likely a consequence of poor leadership, we find ourselves gazing into an uncertain future. The Teacher Education Program, once a beacon of excellence, now teeters on the brink, despite the dean's myriad accolades. For what are accolades without true leadership?

As we watch this unfolding drama, we can only hope for a reversal of fortune. Until then, dear TEP, brace yourselves, for the road ahead looks rather bleak.
