We hope everyone won’t be too quick to judge our brother or our brotherhood because of the viral video going around. We don’t really know the whole story or how things started, and it’s unfair to jump to conclusions based on what’s seen online.

We want to make it clear that we don’t tolerate any kind of wrongdoing. As a fraternity, we take responsibility seriously, and there are always proper actions taken when someone does wrong.

Please don’t let this one incident define the whole Gumamela Chapter. We’re more than this — we’re a brotherhood that values respect, growth, and accountability.

Once again, we’re truly sorry for what happened and for any disappointment, hurt, or misunderstanding this situation may have caused. We’ll do our best to learn from it and make things right.
