𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀

Please be informed that the temporary Compressed Workweek (CWW) arrangement for all VSU officials and employees across all campuses will be discontinued.

Effective September 1, 2026 (Tuesday), all VSU employees will return to the regular onsite work schedule, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. This means eight hours per day and 40 working hours per week.

In accordance with existing Civil Service Commission rules and regulations, any substitution, offsetting, CWW, flexitime, or remote work arrangement must have prior written approval from the immediate supervisor.

All VSU officials and employees are reminded to follow regular work schedule and help ensure the continuous, smooth, and timely delivery of services across VSU.

All university measures on energy conservation and responsible use of resources remain in force. Everyone is encouraged to use electricity, fuel, facilities and equipment wisely.

This advisory is based on Memorandum Circular No. 229, series of 2026, issued by the Office of the President.

Are you an owner or worker of a REGISTERED Micro or Small Enterprise (MSE) in Isabel, Leyte? Take this opportunity to undergo a FREE 10-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Safety Officer 1 (SO1) Training Course!

This training is a collaborative initiative of the Department of Industrial Engineering – VSU-Isabel, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Occupational Safety and Health Regional Extension Unit VIII (OSH-REU VIII), and the Local Government Unit of Isabel.

𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦 | VSU Isabel Records 100% Passing Rate Among First-Time Takers in August 2026 MELE

Two graduates successfully passed the August 2026 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE), giving VSU Isabel a 100% passing rate among its first-time takers. The university recorded an overall passing rate of 28.57%.

Congratulations to our three (3) new licensed mechanical engineers from VSU Main Campus and VSU Isabel who recently passed the August 2026 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination (MELE)!

Department Head of Civil Engineering, Visayas State University Isabel

A pillar does not simply hold a structure, it gives it the strength to stand. In much the same way, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐚 has become one of the steady pillars of the Civil Engineering Department, carrying its direction with leadership, wisdom, and dedication.

His influence reaches beyond his position as Department Head, reflected in the encouragement he gives to students and in the standards he continues to uphold for the department.
