Summary of Tropical Depression “Wilma”
(As of 5:00 PM, December 5, 2025)

Good news as forecasted earlier we can longer experience heavy (red rainfall). Be safe always

Tropical Depression Wilma maintains its strength while slowly moving west toward Eastern Visayas. It may make landfall in Eastern Visayas between tonight and early tomorrow morning, then cross the Visayas until Sunday before emerging over Sulu Sea and near northern Palawan by Monday. It is not expected to intensify significantly while over land.

Current Status

Location: 180 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar

Movement: Slowly west

Strength: 45 km/h winds, gusts up to 55 km/h

Rain & Wind

Heavy rain expected due to Wilma plus the Shear Line (see Weather Advisory No. 9).

Wind Signal No. 1 areas may experience minimal to minor wind damage.

The Northeast Monsoon will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over much of Luzon, Visayas, and parts of Mindanao over the next three days.

Coastal Hazards

Gale Warning is in effect over the eastern coasts of Luzon and Visayas.

Very rough seas up to 5.5 meters in some eastern/northern coasts.

Sea travel is risky or suspended for all types of vessels in affected areas, especially small boats and motorbancas.

Summary of Tropical Depression “Wilma”
Issued at 8:00 AM, December 5, 2025

Tropical Depression Wilma continues to move southwestward while maintaining its current strength. It may make landfall or pass close to Eastern Visayas or Dinagat Islands between this evening and tomorrow morning, then traverse the Visayas until Sunday before emerging over the Sulu Sea and possibly passing through northern Palawan on Monday. Slight intensification is possible once it reaches the West Philippine Sea, but it is expected to remain a tropical depression during its passage over land.

Current Position and Strength

Center: 235 km east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar

Movement: Southwest at 15 km/h

Winds: Max sustained 45 km/h; gusts up to 55 km/h

Weather and Wind Hazards

Heavy rainfall: Refer to Weather Advisory No. 7 (due to Wilma + Shear Line).

Strong winds:

Areas under Signal No. 1 may experience minimal to minor wind impacts.

Amihan (Northeast Monsoon) will bring strong to gale-force gusts over most of Luzon, Visayas, and some parts of Mindanao (Zamboanga Peninsula, Misamis Occidental) over the next 3 days.

Heavy Rain expected between 4PM-8PM today.

Nakakaranas ang Isabel, Leyte ng madalas na pag-ulan at maulap na kalangitan dahil sa epekto ng Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Kasalukuyang naaapektuhan ng ITCZ ang Palawan, Visayas, at Mindanao, kaya may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at pagkidlat-pagkulog sa rehiyon.

⚠️ Typhoon Update: Uwan

Typhoon Uswag has been rampaging since its first landfall in Virac, Catanduanes, and is expected to make another landfall in Aurora around 9 PM tonight. Although it showed signs of weakening after its initial landfall, the system still carries intense winds and heavy rainfall, posing life-threatening conditions in affected areas.

The typhoon is currently moving northwest at 25 km/h and is forecast to cross Luzon, exiting through Zambales by Monday noon. Residents in the typhoon’s path are urged to stay vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, and take all necessary precautions for their safety.

🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY BULLETIN | TYPHOON UWAN (FUNGWONG) UPDATE
📅 As of 5:00 AM, PAGASA Advisory

Typhoon UWAN continues to intensify as it moves west-northwest at 35 km/h. Its center was last located 195 km east of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h and gusts up to 215-266 km/h.

⚠️ AFFECTED AREAS AND SIGNALS:

Signal #4: Catanduanes, Bicol Region

Signal #3: Eastern Visayas, Northern & Eastern Samar

Signal #2: Biliran Province and nearby areas

🌧️ HEAVY RAINFALL & FLOODING:

Expect intense to torrential rains that may cause flash floods and landslides, especially in Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Northern Luzon.

🌬️ SEVERE WINDS:

Destructive winds will be experienced in areas under Signals #3 and #4.
Even outside signal areas, gusty conditions may occur, especially along coastal and upland zones.

A life-threatening storm surge of over 3.0 meters is possible within 48 hours in Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas.
🏠 Residents in low-lying coastal areas are advised to move to higher ground immediately.

🌀 TRACK & FORECAST:

UWAN may pass near or hit Catanduanes this morning.

Landfall possible over Aurora tonight or early tomorrow.

The system may reach Super Typhoon intensity before landfall.

Expected to weaken after crossing Northern Luzon, but remain a typhoon as it exits to Lingayen Gulf by Monday morning. Keep safe ka Agribz!

Weather Update:
Typhoon Fungwong (Typhoon UWAN) has intensified into a Category 2 typhoon, with maximum sustained winds reaching up to 165 kph. It is expected to make landfall in Virac, Catanduanes tomorrow around 8:00 AM.

Although we may not directly experience its full impact here, it’s always best to stay alert and prepared. Make sure to have your go bag ready and stay updated on weather advisories.

In Isabel, Leyte, expect scattered rain showers and winds of 35–40 kph between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM tomorrow.
