Fourth year students of Mindanao State University-Sulu College of Education conducted Education Synthesis last April 21-24, 2026, in preparation for their upcoming Licensure Examination for Teachers, with a collaboration from the Ateneo De Zamboanga University.

The review consisted mainly of diagnostic tests for General Education and Professional Education - two major subject components of LET, which was given during the first day of review after the orientation.

The following days were focused on lectures and rationalization of answers presented by the lecturers from Ateneo de Zamboanga University in the persons of Prof. Leah P. Mata, Prof. Kreanne F. Diaz, Ph.D., Prof. Marjorie S. Emmanuel, Ph.D., Prof. Liza M. Garrido, Ed.D., Prof. John Thronn A. De Jesus, and Prof. Espiridion D. Atilano.

Education Synthesis was conducted under the stewardship of College of Education Acting Dean, Dr. Fermina O. Anuddin, together with the brilliant committee members for Education Synthesis to establish a pre-review program for graduating students. Mindanao State Universityโ€“Sulu officially entered into a partnership with Concentrix CVG Philippines Inc. through a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing, attended by university officials, faculty, staff, and representatives from both institutions. Led by Chancellor Prof. Nagder J. Abdurahman and Concentrix Sr. Director Bam Dino, the event highlighted the importance of collaboration in strengthening education and industry linkages. As part of this initiative, Concentrix also donated sets of computers to MSU-Sulu to support digital learning and academic development.

The ceremony featured messages from university leaders and Concentrix representatives, emphasizing a shared vision of equipping students with relevant skills and opportunities. The MOA signing marked a commitment to provide training programs, support student development, and create potential career pathways, particularly for learners of MSU-Sulu.

The program also included the awarding of plaques of appreciation and a special intermission number. A meaningful highlight was the distribution of school supplies to selected students of the MSU-Sulu Laboratory High School, reflecting Concentrixโ€™s commitment to supporting education at the grassroots level. The event concluded on a hopeful note, with both parties looking forward to a sustainable partnership that fosters growth, innovation, and community empowerment.

โ€ŽThe 4-day In-House Review of the MSU-Sulu College of Education (COED) successfully concluded on April 24, 2026, marking a significant milestone for graduating students from the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) programs.

โ€ŽHeld in partnership with the Ateneo de Zamboanga University School of Education, the Education Synthesis aimed to prepare future educators for the Licensure Examination for Teachers through intensive lectures, discussions, and academic enrichment activities conducted across multiple venues.

โ€ŽTo ensure an organized and focused review, participants were grouped accordingly. Group A, composed of 100 BEED students, held their sessions at the COEd Function Room. Group B, which included BSED Mathematics students and BEED (Kโ€“Z), attended sessions at the Faculty Training Center. Meanwhile, Group Cโ€”comprising BSED English, BSED Science, and BEED Talipao Extension students held their sessions at the College of Health Sciences (CHS) building, with special thanks extended for their generosity in providing the venue and facilities.

โ€ŽThroughout the four days, students engaged in comprehensive review sessions led by esteemed lecturers from Ateneo de Zamboanga University: Ms. Leah P. Mata, Prof. Kreanne F. Diaz, Ph.D., Prof. Marjorie S. Emmanuel, Ph.D., Prof. Liza M. Garrido, Ed.D., Mr. John Thronn A. De Jesus, and Mr. Espiridion D. Atilano. Their expertise and guidance reinforced key concepts essential for the licensure examination, helping boost studentsโ€™ confidence and readiness for the profession.

A meaningful step toward research excellence was marked as Mindanao State Universityโ€“Sulu (MSU-Sulu) and the Western Mindanao Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESMAARDEC) convened for a Partnership through the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), and the Constitution and By-Laws governing their collaboration.

The event gathered key institutional leaders, faculty, and distinguished guests who continue to contribute to the growth and development of MSU-Sulu. Leading the delegation was the University Chancellor, Prof. Nagder J. Abdurrahman, accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Innovation, Prof. Abdel Ajim Salasain, and Acting Campus Secretary, Fatima Al-Raiza Sadjari-Jundam. Also present were college deans and faculty members, including Prof. Alwajir Tuttuh, Prof. Idzhar Lakibul, and Prof. Ronaldo Ancheta.

Representing WESMAARDEC were its Consortium Director, Dr. Leonilo B. Abella, Deputy Consortium Director, Dr. Dulce Amor P. Matondo, and Project Technical Assistant II, Precious Diรฑola.

The audience was further inspired by the message of Chancellor Prof. Nagder J. Abdurrahman, who expressed strong support for the collaboration and highlighted its potential to bring transformative outcomes to MSU-Sulu and its stakeholders. This was followed by a message from Dr. Abella, reaffirming WESMAARDECโ€™s commitment to fostering productive partnerships with academic institutions.

The event ended on a hopeful note, with both MSU-Sulu and WESMAARDEC looking forward to a stronger partnership and continued collaboration in the years ahead.

On April 20, 2026, 4th-year students from the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) programs of the MSU-Sulu College of Education officially began their 4-day In-House Review. The activity is conducted in partnership with the Ateneo de Zamboanga University School of Education and is being held across three venues: the COEd Function Room, the Faculty Training Center, and the College of Health Science Building, from April 21 to April 24, 2026.

Prior to the start of the review sessions, a short opening program was conducted in the morning. The program began with an invocation led by Mr. Gadzfar H. Dammang, BEEd Intern Supervisor, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem led by Asst. Prof. Jicky Joy B. Sahirul, also a BEEd Intern Supervisor.

The program formally commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Fermina O. Anuddin, Ed.D., Acting Dean of the College of Education. In her message, she encouraged the student interns to remain focused, disciplined, and committed as they prepare for their professional licensure examinations.

Meanwhile, the lecturers for the review sessions from Ateneo de Zamboanga University were formally introduced by Mr. Radam J. Yusop. The lecturers are Prof. Leah P. Mata, Prof. Kreanne F. Diaz, Ph.D., Prof. Marjorie S. Emmanuel, Ph.D., Prof. Liza M. Garrido, Ed.D., Prof. John Thronn A. De Jesus, and Prof. Espiridion D. Atilano.

This was followed by a message of appreciation from Dr. Nagder J. Aburahman, Chancellor II, who expressed his gratitude to the partner institution for their support and collaboration in making the in-house review possible.

Another inspirational message was delivered by Prof. Liza M. Garrido, Ed.D., ADZU Coordinator, who underscored the universityโ€™s commitment to extending assistance and fostering academic growth among aspiring teachers.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Farrah Carlson L. Tandih, Ph.D., Chairperson of the COEd English Department, who encouraged the students to maximize the opportunity and approach the review with determination and confidence.

The 4-day in-house review aims to equip graduating education students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to successfully pass the licensure examination and embark on their professional journey as future educators.

A significant milestone was achieved yesterday, April 20, 2026, as Mindanao State Universityโ€“Sulu hosted a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement signing with the Alumni Regent at the College of Health Sciences Building.

The program commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Abdel Ajim M. Salasain, Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Innovation. This was followed by an inspiring message from Chancellor Dr. Nagder J. Abdurahman, who emphasized the importance of institutional synergy. UP Manila and MSU-Sulu Seal Academic Partnership Through MOU Signing

The University of the Philippines Manila College of Pharmacy and the Mindanao State University โ€“ Sulu College of Health Sciences formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, April 17, 2026, at the CHS Conference Room, marking a significant step toward strengthening academic collaboration.

The ceremony recognized the presence of distinguished guests from UP Manila: Dr. Mac Ardy J. Gloria, Dean of the UP Manila College of Pharmacy, and Dr. James Louie D. Tronco, Coordinator of the International and Local Linkages Committee, whose support was instrumental in establishing the partnership.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Rafael A. Regellana, followed by the reading of the MOU by Dr. Tronco. Dr. Gloria delivered a message of partnership, while MSU-Sulu Chancellor Dr. Nagder J. Abdurahman expressed strong support for the collaboration.
Also in attendance were Dr. Rafael Regellana, Dr. Norman Abdurahman, Dr. Abuzamier Asanji, Dr. Abdel Ajim Salasain and Dr. Khadafi Basaluddin, alongside faculty members, students, and Prof. Adaweeya Adju of the BS Pharmacy program, Prof. Kamala Elam and Dr. Casma Mercado.

This landmark partnership aligns with the global agenda for sustainable development, specifically contributing to SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering institutional synergy to improve healthcare education and outcomes.

Prof. Nursidar P. Mukattil concluded the ceremony by reaffirming the shared commitment to advancing pharmacy education and fostering future collaborations between the two institutions.
