𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗛𝗠𝗘𝗡 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 | The University of Southern Mindanao (USM) will conduct the Freshmen Orientation on July 20–22 and 27, 2026, as part of the Student Week activities for incoming first-year students.

The orientation will cover important university policies, academic procedures, student services, and other significant information that will help you begin your journey in the university.

Please take note that attendance is a must. No Certificate of Registration (COR) is required for the orientation. You will be guided on how to access and claim your COR through your student portal after the orientation.

The Department of Biological Sciences proudly announces the official issuance of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII, effective Academic Year 2025–2026, for the following programs:

BS Biology major in Ecology
BS Biology major in Animal Biology
BS Biology major in Plant Biology

This recognition confirms that all three programs comply with CHED's prescribed minimum standards under Republic Act No. 7722 (Higher Education Act of 1994) and reflects our commitment to academic excellence and quality biology education.

With this achievement, the Department has attained 100% CHED program compliance across all its academic offerings.
