May 18-22, 2026
Topic: Conformed to Christ
Verse for the Week: 2 Corinthians 3:18

In the Old Testament times, when Moses came down from Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments written on tablets of stone, his face shone brightly after his encounter with the Lord. The Israelites were terrified to speak with him, so Moses covered his face with a veil.

In the New Covenant, the Apostle Paul reminds us that, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we are not like Moses, who wore a veil to cover his face, nor are we like the Jews whose hearts and minds were covered with a similar veil, preventing them from acknowledging their need for God’s righteousness. In Christ, the veil that once covered our minds and hearts has been lifted, and we now behold, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord.

It is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are being transformed daily into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through the Spirit, our spiritual eyes are opened, and we discern the glory of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Beholding the glory of God involves a change of heart and mind. It changes the way we see how beautiful and glorious God is. It also changes the way we view sin and recognize how it dishonors our Lord.

Dear brethren in the Lord, strive by His grace to continually grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior. May our lives be radically transformed daily through the transforming power of the Spirit. However, if today you still do not see or experience the glory of God in Christ Jesus, come to Him today. You are never beyond the reach of God’s grace. Come and be transformed. Come and behold His glory.
