𝐒𝐢𝐱 (𝟔) 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Northern Mindanao's Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) have earned international recognition for their commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as reflected in the recently released Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025.

Leading the region are 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 and 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲–𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐈𝐈𝐓), both placed in the 𝟖𝟎𝟏–𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 bracket. Bukidnon State University makes a strong debut, while MSU-IIT has shown notable improvement from its previous ranking.

In the 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟏–𝟏𝟓𝟎𝟎 tier, 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐨 joins the global list as a new entrant, while the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐏) successfully maintained its standing from last year.

Meanwhile, 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 and 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 secured spots in the 𝟏𝟓𝟎𝟏+ category, both marking their first appearance in the prestigious rankings.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess universities worldwide based on their contributions to achieving the SDGs, highlighting excellence in areas such as quality education, sustainable communities, climate action, and innovation.

This achievement underscores the growing global presence of Northern Mindanao’s academic institutions and their ongoing efforts to drive positive change through education, research, and community engagement.
