Congratulations to the Reapers WOMEN for securing 1st Runner-Up, and to the Reapers MEN for claiming the Championship title for the 4th time.

KAPATID Intercollegiate Volleyball – Season 2🏐

The MSU-SND Volleyball Men and Women Coaches, Sports Coordinator, and Team Captains attended the meeting held at 9:00 AM today at Old Capitol Building, Tubod, Lanao Del Norte, together with representatives from the participating colleges of Lanao del Norte.

The meeting covered the tournament guidelines and other essential matters in preparation for the competition.

The KAPATID Intercollegiate Volleyball – Season 2 officially commences tomorrow, September 19, 2026.

𝐹𝑜𝑟 𝑍𝑢𝑖𝑧𝑧 𝐷𝑒𝑙 𝑅𝑜𝑠𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑜 𝐻𝑎𝑑𝑗𝑖 𝐻𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑑, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑔𝑜𝑙𝑑 𝑚𝑒𝑑𝑎𝑙 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑎 𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑧𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑎 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛. 𝐼𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑎 𝑝𝑖𝑒𝑐𝑒 𝑜𝑓 ℎ𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦.

After years of playing sports, Hamid entered the 2026 MSUSAA competition with a different goal: to compete, to enjoy the game, and to give everything he had on the court. When the final match was over, he and his teammates had done more than win a championship. They became the first-ever MSUSAA Pickleball Champions in the MSU System.

𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑣𝑖𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦, ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟, 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑦.

Hamid had to divide his time between training and the demands of college life. Thesis work, coding laboratories, school requirements, and training often competed for his attention. There were moments when exhaustion made him question whether he could continue.
But he did.

His journey into the sport began with curiosity. After winning the 2024 MSUSAA Lawn Tennis Championship in General Santos City, Hamid noticed several of his teammates shifting toward pickleball. He decided to try it himself after sir Huzaifah Dimaporo sponsored his first paddle and encouraged him to join tournaments.

What started as a simple attempt eventually led to a historic finish.
For Hamid, however, the championship was never only about the medal. His greatest inspiration remained his mother, Agnes, who could not always watch their games because of their busy family carinderia. Still, he knew her support was always there.

𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑦 𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑒, 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡 𝑚𝑒𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒.

The gold became another milestone in a sporting journey that had already brought him a 2024 tennis championship. Now, he had become a champion in two different sports, an achievement he says he will always be proud of.

𝑌𝑒𝑡 𝐻𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑑 𝑠𝑒𝑒𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑚𝑒𝑑𝑎𝑙 𝑎𝑠 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑦 𝑎 𝑏𝑜𝑛𝑢𝑠.

For him, the real victory lies in enjoying the game, showing good sportsmanship, and remaining united with his teammates. The championship became meaningful not simply because they won, but because they fought together and shared the experience together.

The medal will eventually rest somewhere safe. The games will become memories. But the record they made will remain.
They were the first.

With the MSUSAA Unity Games 2026 now concluded, we look back with grateful hearts.

To our MSU System President Atty. Paisalin P. Tago, thank you for making this event possible and for ensuring that our athletes and delegates were well taken care of, from accommodation and to the other essential needs of our delegation. Your support gave our athletes the opportunity to compete with confidence and represent MSU-SND with pride.

We also sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to our Campus Head Dr. Indihra B. Dimaporo-Tawantan Dee Gandanglahi for giving us the opportunity to participate in the MSUSAA Unity Games 2026 and for the unwavering support extended to our athletes, coaches, and delegation.

Your encouragement, trust, and all-out support have inspired us to represent our campus with pride, commitment, and sportsmanship. We truly appreciate your continued support and for believing in what our athletes can achieve.

We may not bring home all the gold medals, but we are bringing home valuable experiences, meaningful memories, and lessons that will make us better and stronger. More than the medals, we are grateful for the opportunity to represent our campus and be part of this meaningful celebration of unity and sportsmanship.
