When people hear "Radiology," they often picture X-rays and radiation. But did you know that two of our most powerful imaging modalities don't use ionizing radiation at all? ๐Ÿšซโš›๏ธ

Here is how they actually work:

๐Ÿ”Š Ultrasound: Uses high-frequency sound waves that bounce off internal organs and tissues to create real-time imagesโ€”just like echolocation!

๐Ÿงฒ Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Uses strong magnetic fields and radiofrequency pulses to align and flip hydrogen protons in your body's water molecules, producing highly detailed 3D cross-sectional pictures.

Both techniques allow us to capture incredible diagnostic images without exposing patients to ionizing radiation. Understanding these differences helps us deliver safe, precise, and exceptional patient care every day! โœจ
