Benguet State University has issued Administrative Order No. 091, s. 2026, enforcing the strict implementation and monitoring of campus environmental health and cleanliness policies across all BSU campuses.
All student organization officers, advisers, and members are directed to strictly observe the following guidelines during all meetings, programs, and activities:
Key Guidelines for RSO Compliance
Single-Use Plastics Ban: The entry, use, and distribution of single-use plastics during activities and procurements are strictly prohibited. Organizations must utilize reusable, biodegradable, or compostable alternatives.
Clean As You GO (CLAYGO): Organizations must ensure that all event venues and facilities are thoroughly cleaned, organized, and restored to their original condition immediately after every activity.
Proper Waste Segregation: Strict adherence to proper waste segregation and disposal must be maintained in compliance with Administrative Memorandum No. 022, s. 2025, and Republic Act No. 9003. Littering or indiscriminate waste disposal will not be tolerated.
Prohibition of "Momma" / Betel Nut: Chewing and spitting of betel nut (Momma/Nganga) and to***co (muskada) within campus premises are strictly prohibited.
Smoke-Free and Vape-Free Campus: Smoking and va**ng remain strictly prohibited across all campus areas pursuant to Republic Act No. 9211 and existing university policies.
Monitoring and Reporting
RSO officers and advisers are expected to actively lead by example and promote environmental responsibility. Designated monitoring units will conduct regular compliance checks at least twice a month, and any significant or recurring violations will be reported directly to the Pollution Control Office (PCO) for appropriate action.
