In celebration of Philippine Arbor Day, the Professional Regulation Commission - Cordillera Administrative Region (PRC-CAR), in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - CAR (DENR-CAR) and Barangay Ambiong, Baguio City, organized a tree care management activity on July 5, 2024. The event began at 7:30 AM at the Busol Watershed in Ambiong, Baguio City.
The goal of the event is to promote and support a healthier ecosystem through environmental rehabilitation and regreening efforts. As part of this endeavor, 15 trees were brought to the area to replace those that had previously died. This activity was conducted in collaboration with various eco-service partners, including Kingโs College of the Philippines-La Trinidad Campus, which contributed three participants namely; Jeremy Dawaweng as a team leader, Efrhilyn Kate M. Bay-an, and Feberose T. Malinias from the College of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts.
Participants of this PRC-initiated activity earned three (3) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credit units for their involvement.
