Victory for DVM Student Researchers!
DVM Student researchers snatched placements on different categories during the 10th University Student Research Congress held on June 3-4, 2026 to represent BSU in the Regional Research Congress!
*Kyza Vina Lopsoten bagged the 1st best paper in the Social AANR category with her research "Ethnoveterinary Medicine Practices of Backyard Raisers in Besao, Mountain Province" (Adviser: Dr. Jocelyn M. Runas)
*Andrie Rahon was awarded 2nd best paper under the S&T AANR with his research "Nicotine-Based V**e Smoke on S***m Quality and Testicular Histopathology of Male Sprague-Dawley Rats (Rattus norvegicus)" (Adviser: Dr. Jocelyn M. Runas; Co-adviser: Dr. Ana B. Mendoza)
*Ismael Bas-ilan Jr claimed the 3rd best paper in the S&T AANR category with his research " Angiogenic Inhibitory Potential of Bulak-Manok (Agerratum conyzoides L.) Leaves Ethanol Extract Using in Ovo Duck Embryo Choioallantoic Membrane Assay" (Adviser: Dr. Jocelyn M. Runas)
The College Dean, Dr. Maureen Theresa P. de Vera assisted the winners and their advisers in receiving the awards during the events' closing activity on June 4, 2026 at the Everlasting hall, BSU-R&E Bldg, KM6, La Trinidad, Benguet. The top 3 winners from each category (S&T AANR; S&T FIEET; Social AANR; Social non-AANR; and Education) will recieve cash prize and shall represent the university in the Regional Research Congress at KSU, Tabuk City, Kalinga within the year.
