ADVISORY TO ALL RECOGNIZED STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS (RSOs)

For Approved Activities Scheduled on August 24โ€“28, 2026

All Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) with approved activities scheduled from August 24 to 28, 2026 are encouraged to consider alternative modes of implementation whenever feasible to avoid unnecessary rescheduling and further delays.

Depending on the nature and objectives of the activity, organizations may consider online, hybrid, modular, or other appropriate alternative arrangements.

RSOs are reminded to:

Stay updated with official announcements regarding the suspension of face-to-face classes and other University advisories.
Regularly monitor official University communication channels for announcements that may affect their scheduled activities.
Coordinate with the appropriate offices regarding any necessary adjustments to their approved activities.
Ensure that any alternative mode remains consistent with the approved purpose and objectives of the activity.
Prioritize the safety and welfare of all participants and organizers.

Please note that any change in the mode of implementation should remain within the scope of the approved activity and comply with applicable University procedures.

Let us remain flexible and proactive to ensure the continuity of approved student activities while minimizing delays and rescheduling.

Benguet State University has issued Administrative Order No. 091, s. 2026, enforcing the strict implementation and monitoring of campus environmental health and cleanliness policies across all BSU campuses.

All student organization officers, advisers, and members are directed to strictly observe the following guidelines during all meetings, programs, and activities:

Key Guidelines for RSO Compliance

Single-Use Plastics Ban: The entry, use, and distribution of single-use plastics during activities and procurements are strictly prohibited. Organizations must utilize reusable, biodegradable, or compostable alternatives.

Clean As You GO (CLAYGO): Organizations must ensure that all event venues and facilities are thoroughly cleaned, organized, and restored to their original condition immediately after every activity.

Proper Waste Segregation: Strict adherence to proper waste segregation and disposal must be maintained in compliance with Administrative Memorandum No. 022, s. 2025, and Republic Act No. 9003. Littering or indiscriminate waste disposal will not be tolerated.

Prohibition of "Momma" / Betel Nut: Chewing and spitting of betel nut (Momma/Nganga) and to***co (muskada) within campus premises are strictly prohibited.

Smoke-Free and Vape-Free Campus: Smoking and va**ng remain strictly prohibited across all campus areas pursuant to Republic Act No. 9211 and existing university policies.

Monitoring and Reporting

RSO officers and advisers are expected to actively lead by example and promote environmental responsibility. Designated monitoring units will conduct regular compliance checks at least twice a month, and any significant or recurring violations will be reported directly to the Pollution Control Office (PCO) for appropriate action.

Let us work together to keep BSU clean, green, safe, and sustainable!
