The Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT) of Benguet State University (BSU) has been granted the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), effective Academic Year 2023โ€“2024. The certificate attests that the institution complies with the prescribed minimum requirements of CHED for the offering of said degree program.

In addition to CHED recognition, the BS Food Technology program underwent inspection and monitoring by the Professional Regulatory Board of Food Technology and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Following the evaluation, the institution was found to be fully compliant with the requirements of Republic Act No. 11052, otherwise known as the Philippines Food Technology Act. The certification was received by the office on September 05, 2026.

Ultimately, these milestones demonstrate the programโ€™s dedication to maintaining the standards expected of institutions preparing future Food Technologists who will contribute to food safety, quality assurance, innovation, and the development of the Philippine food industry.
